Thanks, Chad!

Nick (ucsbmullet on BA) was raving about this one and glad that Chad (DoubleBogey) picked one up for me. Have been near Bosque multiple times, but never had a beer for them. Time to start now.

Poured a deep gold yellow clear color with two fingers of khaki white head. Some bubbles coming up from the bottom, looking like pieces of pulp. Good wet lacing. Outstanding foamy retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Holy tropical juice on the nose, getting passion fruit, pineapple, guava, grapefruit, fruit punch, pine, resin, nectarine and berry. For hops I think I got El Dorado, Centennial, Citra and hints of Mosaic. (Smell - 4.50)

Tasted wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still solid. Got that El Dorado up front. Also guava, mango, pineapple, stone fruit, passion fruit, resin, bitter pine, Centennial, Citra and some trashy Mosaic. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)

A really nice IPA. Smell was the best part, but I’d have it again for sure. (Overall - 4.00)

Bright, bronze. Has a light honey, floral nose. Mellow bitterness. Touch of something harsh, astringency, but otherwise a nice, easy-going IPA.

Balanced nose of toast and caramel with pine citrus and dank. Amber orange pour nice head and lace. Flavors of toast and medium caramel with citrus and pine and dank. Drinks easily. Similar to the other IPA but a little less assertive. Not bad.

On tap at tap room - pours a clear copper color with a thin off white head....pretty standard. Nice bitter sweet aroma with citrus and pine notes. Medium bodied but slightly low carbonation. Solid malt foundation with a bouquet of hops. Overall, good but not outstanding.

On tap at brewery. A brewery where the lager outshines the IPA. Pretty normal IPA characteristics, color, body aroma, taste. Not bad, but not memorable.

Haven’t heard a lot of people talk about this one, but it’s very nice. Probably my favorite non-La Cumbre IPA that I’ve had from New Mexico. It’s somewhat similar to La Cumbre Elevated, but it doesn’t have as much sweetness in the aftertaste.

Pint at Sister. This is a crystal clear IPA with an amber body and excellent head retention. The aroma is dank and powerful. I continue to be impressed with the overall quality of the beer scene in Albuquerque. Notes of grapefruit rind and onions and pine are huge on this one. Malts are a little thinner and the finish is a little drier. This is definitely west coast style. I had to come back here for a second one after the show down the street. Really great IPA. I’d like to try more offerings from Bosque.

12oz on tap @ Draft Station, Santa Fe. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is fruity malts. Flavor is malts, some fruits, notes of pine and hops. Good.

Tap at Las Cruces location
pours bright orange hue with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. Nose is bright citrus fruit and maybe a faint mineral character. Flavors are very floral grapefruit notes with c hops big and bold but the ibu’s do not seem that high. Long floral and fresh citrus on the finish. Very solid and tasty yet nothing really creative.
