500 ml bottle purchased at Central Market in Shoreline, WA. Pours a piss colored yellow with a white foamy head. Aroma: Skunky & funky. Taste: Sour & bitter...it’s ot horrible, but I just don’t like it.

pours a clear pale yellow with a large foamy white head, lively carbonation, not much lacing.

smell of grain, sour malt, touch of citrus.

taste is watery, grainy, somewhat funky, sour malt, some citrus, ends dry.

Pours a light golden color with thin white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is malty, tastes almost like honey and corn. This is a syrupy, alcoholic version of bud - a plsnery mead. Not bad actually, just not terribly complex or interesting.. It is hard to believe that Black Boss comes from the same brewery, as it is a far better beer.

scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - FEB 26, 2008
sweet orange peel aroma, some flat corn, gold tinted orange, absent head. very sweet concentrate flavor, warm, metallic. still, at 8.1 it’ll get the job done.

Bottle 500 ml

Appearance: Golden brew with light hint of amber in it. Small white top.
Nose : Semi clean malt oriented aroma, light hint of fruitiness and somewhat drying alcohol. 5-
Flavor/Palate : Grainy with wheat like accents, even bits of rye found. Fruity front, slightly chewy in texture. Light hint of hops. One step above average mocne.

Nice golden color, small white head that had a short hang time then faded to leave nothing behind. The aroma was mildly malty some corniness and a slight sweetness as well. The flavor was not to bad mildly malty some definate corn with a mild showing of alcohol. It actually manages to come off as not to bad, medium smoothness if there is such a thing, over all decent and somewhat drinkable.

kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2008
Pale yellow with a smallish dissipating white head. The aroma is mostly corn with some malt and grass. Flavor is sweet corn but is also nicely bittered. Light bodied, big carbonation. Alcohol surprisingly well hidded. Overall a very drinkable beer.

I thought this was a great looking brew with a pale amber color and a full mouthfeel great malty character with full flavors.

rocbyter (2165) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - DEC 14, 2007
Strong fruity malt aroma with a little vinegar and mustiness. Light orange color with a small white head. Initially smooth but soon gets a moderate malt and alcohol bitterness. Malt fades in finish while alcohol remains. Mild creaminess.

Pours a hazed gold with almost no head. Nose is of grain and alcohol. Typical stuff. Flavor is smooth with a sweet overall tone to it, but not so overly sweet that it overpowers. Slight corn taste it seems, but overall just a smooth lager. Feel is nice. Good amount of carbonation and goes down smooth. Highly drinkable. Sure it is a typical old lager, but these guys go down smooth and even. Could sit with these all night.
