750 ml bottle , poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8%
Pours a deep orange golden colour on the body, with a tall head, slighty off-white in colour, thin and soapy, with average retention. Light lacing on the glass.
Aroma is faint, with only some grains upfront and then some yeast coming from the back, Not bad but it should be much more intense.
Taste is better, albeit typical belgian ale but that was never a problem. Malts, sugar, yeast, grains, some light honey notes and alcohol notable on the aftertaste. It tastes like one that can give you a headache.
Medium thin body and good carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate.
Overall not that bad, only objections are the aroma which is way too faint and the price, as this one in no case worths 9.99 but that’s doesn’t have to do with the beer itself of course. ansjelaah (1747) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - AUG 13, 2013
