Bottle shared at Dan’s. Poured a medium density dark Tootsie Roll brown under a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma/flavor of fudge, vanilla beans, brownies, roasted malts, vanilla extract, light whiskey and a finish of barrel. Medium to medium full body, slight touch of warmth from the ABV, lingering aftertaste of chocolate and vanilla along with a hint of booze. Bottle. Pitch black, viscous pour... Aroma of fudge chocolate, chocolate malts, caramel, vanilla, bourbon... Flavor is much more decadent as it warms, tons of vanilla and chocolate fudge notes, thick chewy mouthfeel, light vanilla and bourbon on finish... Delicious

Bottle, shared at Northern Monk. Really dark, chestnut brown. Slim ring of tan head. Nose has dark chocolate. Milk chocolate caramel. Chocolate cake. Decent, albeit one dimensional. Taste is tooth numbing sweet, with some ripe, dark fruit bitterness. Silky mouthfeel. Soft, but noticeable carbonation. More chocolate sweetness to finish. Drinks easy enough for the ABV, but it’s not extraordinary.

Aromas of insane vanilla, vanilla beans, vanilla shake, chocolate, toffee, roasted malt, cocoa nibs, dark roast, wort malt, figs, plums, raisins, tree bark, leather, oak, burnt caramel, barrel wood and subtle coconut. Pours black with almost no brown foam or lacing. Taste brings absurdly chocolate, chocolate syrup, vanilla, vanilla bean, velvet mouthfeel, toffee and licorice upfront. Mid palate gives way to smooth barrel wood, vanilla, oak, toffee, black licorice, toasted caramel, cocoa nibs, slight coconut and aged dark malts. Finishes extremely smooth yet with noticeable booze to it as well as residual vanilla, chocolate and bourbon presence. Huge vanilla notes on the nose (almost masking the malts and bourbon). Taste sweet and sugary as all hell. IDK about vanilla, but I get more of a cotton candy taste. Finishes with a ton of bourbon booziness. Overall pretty thin body and tastes more like medicine than a well-made, well-aged imperial stout. Bottle @ forgetfu shared by him. Thick black appearance with a dark brown head. Aroma had dark chocolate, lots of vanilla, light whiskey, and some oak. For its boost level, it’s quite smooth. Lots of vanilla and coconut and only a little heat on the back end.
