UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 Bottle from alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, berry and wood aroma. Heavy toasted chocolate malt and complex alcohol flavor with a heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration Boston. Pitch black, wet bourbon notes. Too much raspberries. Otherwise fine

500 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of nutty malts, oak, chocolate, raspberry, and bourbon. Tastes very sweet. Sweet fudge with a sharp raspberry backdrop. Builds into a tart fruit flavor. Barrel is less intense. Bourbon in the aftertaste more than anything. Heavy and sweet. Not bad but not something I need more than a thimble of.

2017 bottle. Dark brown with a slight red tint. No head. Aroma of chocolate, raspberry and coffee. Flavor follows the aroma exactly. Medium full body, minimal booze. This was a stunning beer that I need more of.

Bottle - pours black with a tan head - nose and taste of raspberry jam, bourbon, rich chocolate and vanilla - full bodied

BlazerT (1248) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - AUG 30, 2017
Bottle. Pitch black with small, light brown, semi-thick head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is incredible - full of raspberries, milk chocolate and coco notes, but raspberries first of all - pure and natural. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is smooth and raspberries. Overall really decent.

Bule (2254) - California, USA - AUG 29, 2017
500ml bottle pours a black color with a bit of head. Red tinge to the head. Rich chocolate with a nice balance of raspberry. A little hot.

500 ml bottle from vujuice - thanks again, Don! Pours an opaque brown with a small dark tan head that settles into a ring. Dark chocolate-covered raspberries, if I had to describe this in one tagline. Of course there are also layers of vanilla, oak, brown sugar, roasted malts, milk chocolate/fudge, and subtle warming bourbon. Balances and melds together as it warms. Just the right balance. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, coating mouthfeel. Fruited stouts don’t always hit me right, but this one is great.
