TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle. Light hazy orange with small to no white head. Nose is dms, rotten veggies, ew. Flavor similar, very bad. Don’t want to attempt to drink more.

Bottles from Pat’s and RR Street. Pours hazy gold with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is tart, lactic, hopcitric. Tastes of bready pale malt, hopcitrus, and some finishing tartness. Mediocre.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2012 Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 5/7/12

Aroma: The nose is mostly Beligan yeast and spice, with some grains, malts, and light fruit
Appearance: It pours a bright golden color with a thick, fluffy white head and fairly heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet, malty and yeasty, with a good amount of spice on the later palate
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is fairly creamy, with a soft-to-average carbonation, and a slightly dry finish
Overall Impression: Randomly - This guy, who lives in NJ, and purchased these beers in Arkansas, is the only ones who’s rated 100% of BottleTree’s beers (all 2 of them). Anyway, on to non-completely random and irrelevant information. This one was pretty solid. After all that rambling, I don’t have too much more to add then that.

May have been the location... May have been the food, but this was better than expected. Enjoyed a bottle at the Backyard Restaurant in Hilton Head, to go with the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had. Gold color with nice carbonation. Taste was unique blend of flavors, a light sweet (almost wheat-like) malt and a very subtle hint of floral hops with a soft bitterness that balanced the whole thing very nicely. Not typically a Belgian fan, but this one was well worth the trip. I wish I could find it back home in Maryland. Very drinkable and flavorful as it warmed, too. This is easily one of those I could keep for regular drinking.

PorterPounder (8091) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Murky light golden appearance, soft silky white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Bubblegum and clove in the aroma. Flavor is full-bodied and chewy. Pick up some candied sugar notes, a bit of lemony citrus, some saffron-like spiciness. Nice spritz to the mouthfeel, Overall, very solid.

SanfordBrewer (1581) - Sanford, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2012
translucent gold with a bubbly white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation.

Aroma: tart citric fruit, minerality, and a touch of stale hops.

Taste: dirty funky, sour, high minerality, tart apples, band-aid autolysis.

Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 22, 2012
12 ounce bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a medium sized white frothy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of candi sugar, grain, spice and stone fruits. The taste is grainy malts, toasted grain, tannic notes, honey, fruity notes. Medium bodied.

Palidor19 (3189) - Brandon, Florida, USA - FEB 15, 2012
has a nice alcohol flavor with a bit on candied sugar and some rich malts. the palate is thin but has a high carbonation scrub that is very appealing. the head is very sudsy that sticks with you for a while.

ContemplateBeer (2089) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 11, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2014 Aroma of honey, light grape, lemon and herbal hops. Appearance is well carbonated gold with white head. Flavor is slightly fruity with some caramel; the finish is slightly herbal. Palate is bubbly. Alright. 6/3/6/3/12 Rerate 01/13/2014- Aroma: More Belgian yeast character than I remember; gummy and a little medicinal. Maybe some honey or sweet cereal malts as well, but by no means cloying. Detecting a bit more noble hop character this time around. Appearance: Pale, lightly hazy gold with a frothy white head that settles into a solid foamy cap. Flavor: Gummy, herbal, banana notes as well. Actually reminds me a bit of some of the better Hefeweizens i’ve enjoyed. More medicinal yeast and noble hop character toward the finish. Kinda sticks with you. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, very lively carbonation, long finish. Overall: Certainly improved from my first bottle last year. Rather enjoyable, actually. 7/3/7/4/14
