Sampled from a bottle. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee malts, earthy hops and pale malts. The taste is toffee, earthy notes, crackery malts and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

12 fl.oz. bottle - 355 ml, BTTR-321BC
Many thanks to my Secret Santa nimbleprop for this beer!!
Reddish-brown in the glass, nose is dark malty, plums, not too nice. The beer starts rough, malty. Dark red fruit. Plums. Viscous. Slightly sweet - too sweet. Dark dried cherries, The aftertaste is medium, fruity, a bit of dark and bitter chocolate, espresso, but this doesn’t fit. Slightly unround. The aftertaste is long, intense but a bit pushing. And not really easy to drink.
Nice experience, but it didn’t convinced me. --> 6/8/7/7

drowland (8829) - Georgia, USA - SEP 14, 2013
9/14/13. 12oz bottle from Exit 18. Dark amber red pour with a nice khaki head that fades and almost laces in rings. Malty aroma, sweet with a touch of chocolate, plenty of caramel and toffee lingering in there. Sweet, sweet flavor, like a caramel candy bar (wish this was dry and on nitro) with toffee and just barely a bitter, roasty aspect if you search for it. Lingers a touch less sweet, but caramel lingers in the flavor. Not bad.

ben4321 (6547) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 24, 2012
Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 4/24/12

Aroma: This one has malty aroma, with nutty and caramel malts, and some earthy notes
Appearance: It pours an almost clear caramel-reddish color with a thick foam of beige head
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet with a light, but crisp, earthy hop bitterness to it
Palate: The body is medium, it has a rather smooth feel, that’s somewhat creamy and a little crisp
Overall Impression: Wow, only the 3rd rater. I found it interesting that this one only has 2 ratings before me and I can buy it in Arkansas (and I’ve been seeing it there for a couple of weeks now). Anyway, I found it pretty interesting. It isn’t a stand-out, but it’s a solid beer.

Cashews, maple syrup, and pencil shavings on the nose with elderberry accents. Quelle surprise! Hazy rust, thin yellow head. Pencil shavings and maple syrup flavor, nicely balanced. Generic bitter finish. Malt bomb with character.
