polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - MAY 14, 2013
Bottle. Aroma has notes of caramel malts and earthy hops. Dark red hue with a large light tan head that mostly diminished and left good lace. Very sweet and lightly bitter flavor. Palate is heavy bodied and oily with average carbonation. Overall a very tasty brew.

Lectvay (191) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Intriguing beer. Dark brown, very opaque. Smells quite sweet, like creme brulee or something. Taste is a little sweet and much roastier than I expected. A little creamy, and a hint of coffee, so it made me think of a latte. Not how I would expect an imperial red ale taste, but I like it.

3.5
coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Bottle. Pours deep mahogany with a medium-sized off-white head that left some lacing. Aroma is lots of caramel, some nuts, citrusy, earthy, spicy hops. Flavor is caramel malt, earthy, spicy hops. Mildly sweet, a bit bitter. Alcohol is noticeable.

maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Pours a dark brown with relatively little head. The aroma is fairly subtle, but the taste is great and nutty. Really interesting flavor profile.

(12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Clear rich amber/copper, soapy white bubbles. Nose of waffle cones, caramel, chocolate and lightly nutty. Taste of waffles cones, lightly toasty, cream, nuts, light alcohol. NIce palate linger.

obguthr (6733) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Cashews, maple syrup, and pencil shavings on the nose with elderberry accents. Quelle surprise! Hazy rust, thin yellow head. Pencil shavings and maple syrup flavor, nicely balanced. Generic bitter finish. Malt bomb with character.

3.4
PorterPounder (8313) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling deep dark copper with a lightly lacing off-white head. Aroma has some caramel accents, a touch of toffee and crystal malt. Flavor is bold with some toffee accents, a touch of cinnamon spice, some nutmeg, a touch of sweet nectarines. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Not bad at all.

blutt59 (6585) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 21, 2013
bottled, dark amber color with good malty aroma, prickly hops offset by sweet malts and fruity caramel notes, nice thick finish

3.4
drowland (9161) - Georgia, USA - SEP 14, 2013
9/14/13. 12oz bottle from Exit 18. Dark amber red pour with a nice khaki head that fades and almost laces in rings. Malty aroma, sweet with a touch of chocolate, plenty of caramel and toffee lingering in there. Sweet, sweet flavor, like a caramel candy bar (wish this was dry and on nitro) with toffee and just barely a bitter, roasty aspect if you search for it. Lingers a touch less sweet, but caramel lingers in the flavor. Not bad.

3.4
milewide (2326) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 26, 2013
Looks and tastes like an Imperial Irish Red Ale. Clear brown red color. Medium head and body. Slightly sweet with limited hop bitterness.
