TomTron (455) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Pours a brownish red with a minimal off white head. Aromas of caramel malts and yeast. Tastes slightly bitter on the front end with a metallic finish but some caramel and other malted sweetness sticks to the tongue as well. Alcohol is detectable and it sweetens and gets more nutty as it warms. Not a bad offering, just a bit odd.

Aromas are mostly malt focused, caramel, almonds, with some dark, cherry-like fruity notes. Clear ruby with a lasting, beige head. Off-dry and almost salty, with some nutty and woody flavors. Medium bodied with fluffy carbonation, and finishes leaving behind dry, earthy flavors.

Sampled from a bottle. Pours a clear dark ruby color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toffee malts, earthy hops and pale malts. The taste is toffee, earthy notes, crackery malts and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottled. In my opinion, it's really more of a brown than a red. Malty, lingering finish. -via BBapp

Botttle. Aroma is nutty and a slight bit of anise. Nice dark red color, with little head. Taste is kind of flat, but with lots of malt, finishing a bit bitter. Overall interesting beer considering its one of only two this brewery makes as of right now.
