Hazy amber with a big, durable, off-white head, leaving nice lacing. Quite complex nose, it is sweet and nutty yet after a while it develops fruity and yeasty notes as well. Sweet, but with dry spices keeping the balance, dry finish. Fruity with some sourness, hints of mandarin and pepper. Surprising light-bodied. A Belgian masterpiece. (Bottled) Slight gusher. Opaque orange with a medium, lasting head. Nice and fresh, perfumy-yeasty, lightly tart, pale-malty nose. Flavor is also lavender-perfumy, with meaty coriander spiciness, a touch of ginger, and slight tartness with acidity. Some bitterness, too, and faint ashy-cardboardy notes in the background. Medium+ body, foamy CO2. A quite spicy, but refreshing and enjoyable ale. 3456 oberabcbbsok (693) - Hoboken, BELGIUM - MAY 1, 2007
