Hazy amber beer, small cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp and fairly dry. Evaporating dry alcohol immediately obvious but there is no real heat. Sweet malts, repressed subtle hops. Tangy dried orange. Mild spice. Light dry finish. Very clunky and not easy to drink.
Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF 2014 Tasting - London. Pours perfectly clear, bright amber-gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds some doughy bread, light toffee. Very, very sweet, with toasted sugars, yeasty bread, candi sugars and old oranges. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Super sugary finish with grains, candi sugar, yeast and doughy wheat. So so. Theydon_Bois (19789) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2014

Sampled from bottle @ ChrisO after GBBF day 3. Clear orange golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is lightly malts, quite yeasty, indeed some honey and some herbs or spices. Taste malts, quite a lot of honey, herbs and spices, sweetish, lightly alcohol. Average body, medium carbonation. Not my beer, but I can’t say there are real flaws in it. bhensonb (15352) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of dark honey and floral. With sour barnyard after. Full bodied. Flavor is honey, dark fruit, fruity esters. Very strong flavors. The dark fruit grabs my mouth - like bitter. This is quite dry. As astringent aspects. Lots of malt, but something balances that. Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Pours a clear orange-cold color with a medium fluffy off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, honey and spices. Medium to full body with flavors of grainy malt, sweet honey, herbs and fruit. The finish is borderline cloyingly sweet herbal honey and malt. Slightly above average overall.
