UPDATED: OCT 22, 2017

August 2015 - Gravity cask at GBBF. Cola black, red hue, no real head. Aroma is blackcurrant, flowery, soap. Body is medium, soft carbonation, smooth. Taste is soapy, laundry powder, powdery cocoa, soft lavender. Like chocolate soap. Pretty interesting, somehow works. (3.6)

August 2017 - Cask, gravity dispense, at GBBF 2017, Kensington Olympia. As 'Boulder Beer House Porter'. Opaque black, still with a foamy brown head. Aroma is ashy, molasses. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is tangy raisin, liquorice and apple, fruity. A little unusual in character for a porter. Thinking that the condition wasn't right this year. Cask at GBBF 2015, day 1 - London. Pours clear ruddy brown with a light, tan cream head. The nose holds light chocolate and...mint? Light to medium sweet flavor, cooling and minty, with light roast and chocolate. Light bodied with fine carbonation. More cooling mint in the finish, with mild bitter earth and further cocoa notes. Not bad.
