Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

Maybe this was served too cold but I thought that this was overall pretty weak and not very flavorful. Light amberwith a decent clingy white head. Aroma and falvor is dominated by pine and grapefruit just like the hazed, but moreso on this one. Also noticed a bit mroe orangy aroma. Kinda skewed and not well balanced. Decent finish.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2005 Bottle into tulip glass. Great fluffy eggshell head, sticky uniform lace, very deep and dense sub-surface "racing"; yellow orange in the glass with perfect clarity. Floral and citric, somewhat spicy hops aroma was nice. The MO for this beer is that it is all hops. No real malt character to speak of, but good body and great hop character. Bitting with acid up front, softly transitioning into a blossoming bomb of grapefruit that was nicely sweet before turning dry and bitter with some pepper and corriander. Wet acidity lingered into the spicy bitter finish as a nice complement. Just a ltitle wattery in texture, light-to-medium body, good level of soft carbonation. Good American IPA; it does everything right, even if there are some things I just doesnt do.

Pours cloudy and golden. Aroma is hops and some lemon. Decent offwhite head. Crisp and hoppy taste. Refreshing. The palate feels dry but heavy enough to remember. A little spice starts to become present as it gets a little warmer. A pretty decent IPA all in all. I like it.

Draught: Smelled hopy and citrusy, with a hint of grapefruit. Poured cloudy amber/light gold/orange color. Small, diminishing white head. No lacing. Tasted crisp and hoppy, with some citrus and spice notes. Crisp, though not dry, finish. Easy to drink. Overall, a solid IPA that could benefit from more IBUs.

Light gold in color with a quickly dissipating tan head. Mild aroma of citrus and sweetness, moderately hoppy. Body is full and malty, with some grapefruit hoppiness that dominates. Mouthfeel is dry, bitter, and coating. Very tasty.

Rich golden color with a head and lacing that lasted the duration. Aroma-intoxicating citrusy piney hops. Medium to full bodied with loads of hops and a good malt balance. Grapefruity bitter finish. Solid.

Light golden orange hue. Big fruity floral nose. Tight off white head, nice lacing. Thin pale malt backbone, medium body, and all citrus, big big fruity notes. Pleasantly bitter, but big fruit. I cant get over all the fruit here. Lemon, grapefruit and resinous pine needle clumps. Definately delicious.

A light orange color. A big grapefruit and floral nose. The flavor was pretty tame with a bit of grapefruit and orange. It slightly hoppy but certainly not over done. Its simple but it has a good flavor to it.

Grapefruit hop nose with some biscuity malts. Hazy blonde body with shy white head that leaves a lasting ring and cover. Sweet and malty but very dry with plenty of grapefruit hop flavour and a fair balanced bitterness. A peppery note emerges in the flavour as it warms. Medium body with sticky but soft texture and moderate carbonation. Alcohol never apparent. Sampled on tap at Anam Cara in Boston with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere.
