Mo-Jo: 1: A magic spell or charm; magical power; 2. Herbaceous ale that summons hop attacks.

Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.

This beer is higher in alcohol than most ales. At 6.8% ABV, its just enough to warrant respect but not high enough to leave a tell tale alcohol smell. The IPA has a nice tangy taste with a decent bitter finish. Its a clean taste and is smooth sipping. The wheat blended into this beer makes this perfect for a nice warm day. Its a nice contrast to the big IPAs such as Dogfish Head 90-minute or Green Flashs West Coast IPA. This is the type of IPA you could easily drink a few of. The overall experience isnt really outstanding but then again I dont think it was meant to be a knockout. This one is for enjoying and sharing with your friends on an easy going day. This beer gets a green light in my book and Id certainly buy it again.

Fresh bomber. Clear orange with a nice white head that leaves great lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is tropical fruit, honeydew melon, bubblegum, and sweet caramel. Taste is melon, citrus, and pineapple. Pine bitterness kicks in and is joined with a caramel malt sweetness. Finishes a bit sticky and somewhat dry.

Bottle from Total Wine. Middle of the road ipa. Mineral water meets medium hops. Probably not helped by the neglect of the Total Wine shelves.

Hazy orange pour with thin head. Very restrained aroma with a hint of citrus. Slightly bready/apricot malts upfront and a pleasant bitter finish. Nice but not memorable.

12 ounce bottle. Some citrus aromas and pale golden in color. Taste is not over hopped and a little after bite on the palate. You get the India Pale Ale profile, just not crazy hopped which makes this drinkable. Overall this is above average for style

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is slightly hazy pale orange with greenish tinge, light sparkle, minimal white fizzy head with poor retention, and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is caramel malt, musty, earthy hops, citrus background. Taste is more sweet malts than bitter earthy hops but a balance. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this was more pale ale than IPA with malt dominance but this was also a little elderly so that may have skewed things.
