Not one of the more hoppy Imperial IPAs, this one seems to emphasize the sweet malt more than the hops. In fact, the malts are quite sweet, very caramely, somewhat toasty, and lightly earthy in the finish, while the hops are heavily weighted toward orange citrus and sweet pine, but only moderate in bitterness. It’s a fairly fruity beer as well, showing ripe stone and tropical fruits and orange marmalade. The nose is also sweet-smelling, fruity, caramely, and quite toasty. On the palate, the beer is full bodied and a bit sugary, but the carbonation is on the low side, and it’s clearly not brewed to full dryness. The beer pours very hazy and golden-orange in color, with a thin sheet of off-white head that fades to a thin ring. Overall, this is a tasty and enjoyable beer, but it’s sweet and caramely, so if you like ’em dry and very hoppy, this probably shouldn’t be high on your list to seek out.
On tap at Bar Louie in Denver, CO. Orange tone with good clarity and silky eggshell head. Aroma of white bread, citrus, and floral. No booze for 10%. Soft medium body. The taste has a big bitter bite but not as much citrus or floral notes as the aroma. ajtrupp (340) - Broomfield, Colorado, USA - JUL 10, 2016
Heavy malt character. Reminds me of a watered down Gubna. It’s a good beer, but not the best of the style. RRistow12 (847) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - MAY 17, 2016
Tasted from bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange amber. Aroma is caramel and some citrus notes. Taste is moderately sweet with a mild to moderate bitter finish. A little malt dominant. Flavors of caramel, toffee, grapefruit, orange. Hides the 10% ABV well. Overall pretty good.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of HOPS, and some other hints, maybe fruit, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and hoppy with a nice dry finish. rondphoto (4383) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 7, 2016
on tap @ Hebron Brew Haus / Hebron KY --- Nearly clear medium amber, white head that drops to a thin cover, curtain of lace. Taste is full caramel malt that grows into a medium carbonated swallow, then on to an assertive hop blast, only to see an encore by the malt. Complex and well-balanced. Recommended.

Very foamy pour with large head and strong lacing. Also had sheets of sediment from the bottle, really a downer for the appearance. Cloudy orange pour, strong alcohol content, but no burn. Leaves quite a hoppy and long lasting after taste partially from the sediment. tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015
I didn't take any extra notes when I tried this beer for the first time but I'm gonna try it again and update my comments.

Bottle from Breeze Thru, cannot believe never have rated. Fly in the ointment is a September 7th, bottle date. A copper orange pour with a foamy white head leaving nice spotty lacing all around the glass. Aroma has over layered hops, pine, citrus, lemon. Smells dry hopped and dry hopped. Taste is of citrus, grapefruit, pine with some chewy resin, and some toffee back. Medium bodied and almost syrupy with a bit of an alcohol presence. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet and over layered. Solid effort, and still hoppy. Did not love the flavor combination, but decent. 13.9

Aroma is spices, pine and a hint of hops. The flavor is grapefruit, malts, hops and a very spicy finish.

On tap at Twisted Jimmys. Nice hoppy aroma, mellow on nitro with a little sulfur. Medium golden amber clear with creamy off-white lacing head. Medium body with nitro. Moderately sweet to start, juicy, sugar, caramel with light bitterness. Muted hop flavors with bigger bitter finish and after.
