Appearance: This is one of the most beautiful looking beers I’ve ever seen. The body is clear with a hue that would leave me convinced it were cranberry juice if it didn’t have a head. The head is short, but dense with good retention and a khaki color.
Aroma: The aroma has decent strength, leaning mildly spiced. I get a prominent dark fruit aroma, it actually reminds me a bit of cranberry with a dry dark fruit presence. Backing it is a sort of non-descript malt base with mild spices that I can’t pick out.
Taste: The body is a bit watery, overlying it are mild spices and a mild fruitiness. Nothing is very prominent until the finish where, I believe, nutmeg dries out the beer with a dry dark fruit presence. This is pretty bland, though not offensive.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: This beer is not bad, but it’s not really enjoyable. The flavor is pretty watery and everything is very subtle. I’m not sure what they were going for but I will pass on this in the future.
Botle from hyvee bar, brown clear pour, nice cream malty aroma, taste is creamy smooth malts, pretty good Chad924 (14) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 26, 2013
It is a nice light winter beer with a mold favor and a very smooth finish that doesn't leave much taste on your pallet.
