22 ounce bottle in pint glass. Black with lasting tan head and lace. Roasted coffee chocolate chip cookie dough aroma. Dark chocolate, roasted mocha, mild fruit and medium bitterness flavors, dominated by delicious roastiness. Medium-full bodied and medium carbo. Nicely complex, challenging and drinkable at the same time. Excellent. Palidor19 (3193) - Brandon, Florida, USA - DEC 20, 2007
A very nice dry stout, not as bitter as you would expect. The taste is dark and toasty malts, medium hop bitterness. Coffee like. I’ve enjoyed it. nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 20, 2007
The aroma is very nice with chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. The appearance is dark brown with a light tan head. The flavor is like the aroma. This stout is decent but to dry. GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 19, 2007
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy & tupalev - HogTownHarry’s bottle. Deep brown with a moderate off-white head. Deep roasty aroma, with nice dry malt and toffee notes. Medium body. Flavour had some nice burnt malt off the top, followed by cocoa powder, molasses, and a nice bitter finish. Very nice! HogTownHarry (7064) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2007
Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, my bottle. Deep oily black pour, decent diminishing tan head. Solid deep roast aroma, dry, a hint of burnt rubber, dry hops, molasses. Taste is dark roast with sour cherry, alcohol, herbal hops and molasses in the bitter finish. Oily, slightly boozy mouthfeel, long almost burnt roast linger. Pretty solid.

Pours a semi-transparent dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet and earthy dark malts with a touch of roast. Starts with some nice dark caramel and roasted malts and a touch of licorice. FInishes thinner and dark chocolatey sweet with some nice roasty notes. A pretty good stout. Poured black into the snifter with an inch of tan head. Very sharp scent with espresso and chocolate present. A hint of oak in the taste with malt and chocolate. A sharp, licorice flavor that came through in the finish, wasn’t very pleasant. robforbes (2260) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - DEC 14, 2007
pour is a black with a tint of redness, small beige head, nice lacing.
smell is cocoa, roasted nuts, bit of caramel, weak coffee, almonds.
taste is bakers chocolate, dandelion weeds, oatmeal, some coffee, a touch of licorice, leaves you bitter.
overall as you drink and it warms up a bit, it becomes more creamy and more of a milk chocolate comes out. Ratman197 (15208) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - DEC 14, 2007
Bombert poured a clear black with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee, carmel, nuts, roastiness, dark chocolate and hints of oak and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, chocolate, coffee and a hint of oak with a smooth roasty finish.
Decent stout but WAY over priced.
