Draft: Poured a blackened brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, light chocolate, and coffee. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle:   Deep brown, nearly black, deep ruby hues, moderate to large frothy light beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft roasty nose, slight bakers chocolate with a hint of coffee.   Not as robust on the tongue as the
nose suggested.   Seems like mainly roasted malts, very little hop background.   As it warms the coffee comes out a bit more on the backside.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes fairly clean, but a bit light.
Low in hops, decent roast (at least up front), with a slight coffee finish.   Not as hefty as others. olr1984 (1500) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 22, 2013

on tap at O’Niell’s. Nitro. Appearance is amazing, no doubt owing in small part to the nitro, black in color with small creamy, frothy white head and excellent lacing. Aroma is subtle with roasted caramel and chocolate malt. Full bodied with a creamy texture and soft carbonation, moderately sweet. This was a very good porter, I enjoyed this. edgallow (4635) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 4, 2013

Pours black with a tan head that disappears fairly quickly. Smoky, espresso and chocolate aromas with a little bit of fruit in there. Mostly a bitter, astringent taste with a hint of chocolate. Bit thin and the carbonation is a bit harsh. AWISLguy (3429) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Bottle from Breeze Thru. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has choco/caramel, some coffee, oatmeal and molasses, with a faint dark fruit presence. Taste is of bakers chocolate, meat smoke, some roast and some caramel. More bitter than sweet. A bit thin. Boulder continue along their run of "meh" brews. Through some depth of flavor in there! queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - FEB 18, 2013

12oz bottle, best by 9/25/12. Black color. Thin khaki head. Some lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lighter body. More dry texture. Light toasty malt. Light cocoa, but it’s mostly just kind of watered down. Little earthy hops. Light bitter taste, some sweet. Fine, respectable porter
