COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged for one year in first-use bourbon barrels, The Dude’s Bane is our first barrel-aged beer released in a bottle and our most rare packaged offering with only eight barrels in existence. It began as a lighter-bodied English-style Barleywine with undertones of candied fruit, then over time evolved into something much more complex with the fusion of bourbon, vanilla and oak flavors from the barrel.

Bottle. The bourbon flavor is sticky sweet and very prevalent up front in this beer. It is quite good, though I think it is best in small doses or else the sweetness might be overpowering. Great Winter beer.

Salmoniform (1281) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2014
Poured from bottle to glass. Deep copper hue with creamy off white hue that lingered. Aroma is tobacco, prunes, vanilla, oak, toffee, ethanol. Mouthfeel is nice with a full body and crisp carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a nice bitter following and an ethanol finish. Overall this is a very nice brew.

Great barleywine. Snagged 4 bottles at their release party, which was awesome. One of the best barlywines I have ever had.

Bottle #445 in a pint glass. Very boozy aroma with vanilla and fruity, almost pineapple undertones. The initial flavor is that of warmth and molasses. One can certainly taste the time and effort that was put into this beer without being overpowered by flavors. Glad I was able to snag one while I was in Colorado visiting.

Very sweet. One of the best barley wines I have tried. Full bodied mouthful. Great beer. Kippie In Colorado
