We figured the workers living in Williamsville, also known as Hell’s Hole, would have appreciated a few of these refreshing brews. A true Bavarian Hefeweizen, this thirst-quenching wheat beer is made with 2-row brewers malt and heaps of Bavarian wheat. Hopped with three German varieties: Herschbrucker Hallertauer, Spalt and Perle. The hints of banana and clove come from the special Bavarian yeast strain we use
<old description - old formula> We figured the workers living in Williamsville, known as Ragtown or Hell’s Hole, would have appreciated a few of these refreshing brews. A thirst-quenching wheat beer, made with two-row brewers malt and heaps of white wheat malt. It is hopped with Liberty and the acclaimed Oregon Chinook aroma hops. If you haven’t tried this one, you haven’t tried the most popular beer brewed in Boulder City.

Sampler at the brewpub in Boulder City. Not much to this one. Maybe a hint of aroma on the nose. Needed to be a little more carbonated and not much flavor to speak of. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

wombat23 (2137) - Texas, USA - MAR 22, 2017
Draft at the source. Cloudy gold, white head. Aroma of banana and clove. Taste is banana, clove, spice, yeast. Finish has a strange fruity sweetness.

WillemsUrenkel (2086) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 4, 2016
Sampled at the brewpub. Unclear golden with a mid size white head. Typical banana and orange fruity on the nose, also some yeast. Tast has more wheat and yeast, less fruity than it smells. Getting a little bit dry to the end. Okay, not bad.

slowrunner77 (13204) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUL 22, 2015
pretty standard stuff...like a hefe american hybrid, but not 5th percentile in style bad...just...a little boring.

Where and how: at brewery (sampler)
Aroma proper ester feel of German hefe. Mild tangy hint of hops at end.
Appearance :
Top: large lasting white top. Very presentable looking. 4+
Base: hazy amber gold.
Palate : medium bodied, soft, drinkable with average finish.
Taste: nice weizen. Good authentic feel. Sweeter bottom but not too much. Hints of noble hops
other notes solid!

Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Draft at the source 12/19/13. Cloudy amber orange color. Aroma of orange peel. Taste is orange bubblegum.

stevoj (5867) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 13, 2014
Looks like weizen, some of the normal weizen characteristics are present in the aroma and taste, but tends to be watery, and no finish. Minus for serving with an orange slice. Save that for the Shock Top.

Ron (4259) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 7, 2013
This last batch must be much better than previous years. Good citrus aroma. Flavor of citrus, banana and clove. Nice and cloudy. The brewer had some good stories.

jb (3445) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAR 30, 2013
This is a good German style hefeweisen. It is way underrated. Has the nice banana and clove flavor and nose. Had at the brew pub and really enjoyed having the brewer tell us about it.

BVery (11458) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Almost flavorless and nearly without aroma. Jus mild wheat. Very dull.
