Draft at Sam’s, Durham. Pale orange pour, well carbonated, and an appealing look overall. But I was unsure of what a Citra blonde with pineapple in bourbon barrels would bring (other than a train wreck). I confess to being quite pleasantly surprised – something about the Citra held together the barrel (very modest) and the fruit really interestingly. Not sure I’d want more than the 10oz pour I had but it was a pretty unique brew. jmagnus87 (3302) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2012
10oz draft at the Old Chicago Boulder tap takeover weekend. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a small bit of thick white head. Aroma of citrus hoos and some stron earthy oak. Taste is light bitter. Pineapple, citrus and pine hops snd som wet dirt...like the forest after a rain storm. Medium bodied with a slightly thin texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I would gladly drink this again.
