Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, dark brownish pour with thin fizzy off white head, aroma brought notes of bread, caramel, some light dark fruit into some hints of tart lemon, oak. Taste was a mix of dark fruit, oak, touch of bourbon into a hint of tart fruits, slight caramel, finishing dry, slightly sweet. Eh.

Draft at WOB Arlington. Pours deep chocolate with a head that quickly fades to a small ring. Aroma of malted chocolate, oak, and lemon. Flavor shows oak, with light sourness. Finished clean, not terribly interesting but easy drinking ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark brown brown pour. Aroma of roasted malts, dark honey or maybe dark candy sugar and maybe a little wood. Flavor is medium acidic sour, light wood, light roasted malts, and candy sugar. Beer is easy to drink, but a little boring. I guess I could best describe it as a low alcohol sour brown ale.

On tap at Friendship. It poured a dark golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of tart fruits, malts and some whiskey. The taste was similar to the aroma with more tart fruits, malts, whiskey and wood. Good stuff.

Not the best sour offering from a brewery that’s usually pretty solid with them. Tastes like someone poured grape medicine into a lager. Well, maybe not that bad, but it was a surprisingly dull experience.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours pretty dark brown with a head so transient I missed the color - might have been beige. Aroma is sort of leathery, malty sour. Not strongly so, but a rather odd, funky kind of aroma. Med body or slightly better. Flavor is moderately dark malt with leather and wood and something like lemonade. Definitely towards mild sour. Whiskey? And where does the e come in? Isn’t whisky the spelling except in Eire? Anyway, the stuff is different and fun to drink.
