Clear brown color with frothy tan head. Nice brewed medium roast coffee, earthy dirt, sugary, medium roast malt, mild vegetal aromas. Light bodied with average co2. Sugared up light roast coffee flavors with mild chocolate, and dirt___tasty coffee brew Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2014
A corked 0.75l bottle. Looks good with a medium sized kinda beige looking head on top of a light blurry Cola colored beer. Lots of sweet slightly burned caramel on the nose. A bit to sweet compared to my coffee expectations, but it also of course is coffee infused in the aroma. A little bit of sweet concentrated prunes and licorice is also found here. Really enjoy the flavor in this. Tons of nice not to sweet but sweet licorice and coffee. It feels light oily in the mouth with a below average almost soft carbonation level. Dark candied sugar, some plums and a little bit of nice warming alcohol in the background. Have to say that the expectations are high for coffee flavor and aroma when you’re call a beer coffee ale, and perhaps that could have been a bit more present. All in all a nice tasty one! 22.11.2013 skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JAN 2, 2014
Big and bold here in the coffee department. Amberish pour, little head. Aroma of grains, light coffee, and herbs. Flavors are light fruits in the start, fairly roasty grains in the middle, with a big kick of coffee hitting and lingering towards the finish. Pretty good. kguard (5) - Iowa, USA - DEC 22, 2013 does not count
Best by date was a scratched so I could be old.
Nice coffee, not espresso smell.
Taste was coffee but flat compared to other smokestack.
Good but not great. Abv was really hidden.

A cloudy dark brown beer with a soda head. The aroma is roasted malt, oats, herbal, and, of course, coffee. The flavor is oats, prunes, licorice, and coffee which lingers as a bitter finish. I’m glad to see they went a different way with this coffee ale, but it was somewhat underwhelming. visionthing (5470) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 4, 2013

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a clear deep brown copper-hued body with a large creamy off-white head. Nice looks. Nose is medium roasted coffee, herbs, licorice, mild chocolate and hints of bread dough, alcohol and caramel. Taste is smooth mildly sour coffee tones, roasted bread, caramel, rye, grains and hints of dark chocolate and spruce. Full body, medium carbonation. A very smooth and well-composed coffee ale from Boulevard. Iphonephan (7084) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - NOV 28, 2013
From a 75 cl bottle shared at home on Thanksgiving day. Pours a hazy brown with an ecru head. Mild coffee nose. Flavors of coffee and tart cherries. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Effervescent finish.
