Good amount of head. Nice nutty coffee aromas. Good choice of hops. Very nice finish not too sweet or dry. Well done. Happy to see a good coffee ale instead of the usual porter or stout!
750 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9.3%. BB date 01/06/2014, Deep brown colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts and coffee, hints of chocolate and some fruity hops. Malty flavour with strong notes of coffee, a bit too much coffee for me. Some acidity, again hints of fruity hops. bytemesis (8375) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle, 2013 :(. Pours hazy hazel, medium creamy beige head, great lacing. Aroma is coffee, mocha. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, loads of coffee, faint hint of tartness. Medium body. Kinda shocked how well this one held up. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 24, 2016
Pours a reddish brown. Sweet caramel/roasty coffee aroma. Roast coffee/chocolate flavor with a touch of fruit and great finish. BeerNerdMalmo (18) - Malmö, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2016
This one got a lot of dominating bitter roasted coffee and it becomes a bit tideous. Medium thick brown. It’s alright but not in the same league as the other I had in the smokestack series. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - DEC 25, 2015
bomber from 10/2013. didn’t realize it had been around this long. pours a medium brown with light mocha color head that is long lasting. some nice lacing on the glass. I do have a lot of floaties in my glass. the aroma is full roasted malts, bitterness from the coffee and chocolate. the flavor is creamy smooth with that coffee bitterness, roasted malts, hints of chocolate and when I say creamy smooth I mean creamy smooth as in peanut butter. very delicious. just now wonder what it would have tasted like a year ago.

(Bottle) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of fresh coffee, chocolate, dried fruit, brown bread, hints of smoke and tar. Malty, slightly smoky taste with lots of coffee, dark bread, liquorice, chocolate, some orange peel and a gentle, slightly earthy, bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite interesting, with lots of fresh coffee and alcohol well hidden. Very nice. Jow (3923) - New York, USA - OCT 7, 2015
Uneccessary bomber pop late night from Greg w stl. Murky brown pour fine frothy beige head. Nose is fine coffee and dark fruits. First glass tasted kinda weird of off fruit and coffee. Subsequent glasses were more pleasant of better coffee, plums, light hops, some grains. Smooth enough. All righty then. thomat (3860) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2015
