Neighbors for nearly twenty years, Boulevard Brewing Company and The Roasterie share a passion for making extraordinary beverages. In Coffee Ale, our two celebrated brewing traditions come together in a long-awaited collaboration. Ethiopian Sidamo from Africa’s Great Rift Valley has been carefully blended with rye, oats, and malted barley, and spiced with Perle and Styrian Golding hops. The delightfully fragrant beer presents a glowing, tawny-amber hue. The clean, crisp acidity of the air-roasted coffee mingles with malt on the palate, lingering faintly in a subtly sweet finish.

A coffee ALE? Not a coffee stout or porter? Reread the label and then drink up. This beer is excellent. The coffee is not subtle, but neither is it overwhelming. Sweet and pungent.

This beer is AMAZING! Aroma of some strong roasted coffee that is very present. Pours a thick brown body with a very carbonated, bubbly head. Tastes like an amazing well balanced beer that leaves the palate with a mild creamy mouthfull of roasted coffee brew that is second to nothing.

Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, spices. Flavour is coff, roasted malt, alcohol, spices, hop, nuts, caramel. Very nice world class beer.

Pours ruby mahogany with a large light brown head. Smells of coffee and caramel. Taste is strongly coffee, and not very bitter, with a touch of sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Boulevard Coffee Ale finishes with a silky sweetness.

Comes out of the tap an opaque mocha brown with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled wheat head. Quality coffee dominates the robust aroma. Coffee or beer? Who gives a shish-kebab. Malty flavor has a strong, almost overpowering note of high-end coffee, with hints of caramel, hops and rye. This is almost a stout! Firm texture has a good fizz, very lively. The best part of waking up is something like this in your cup. Or stein. Beer: It’s not just for breakfast anymore! :D

Draft at The Bridge. Pours brown with an inch of khaki foam that leaves no lacing. Massive coffee notes on the nose but it smells less like coffee grounds and more like brewed. It’s a pleasant scent that really lingers. Behind that it’s fucking delicious! You definitely get the coffee but is also nicely hopped which gives it a fragrant, complex flavor. Finishes clean. I’ve never had Boulevard beer that disapointed. They may be the most underrated brewery in the country.
