COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Collaboration #3 Stingo was brewed using traditional English ingredients. A variety of ale and specialty malts from Yorkshire are at the forefront; their pronounced roasty aroma and flavor contain hints of toffee, cocoa and bread crust. English hop varieties contribute subtle herbal, peppery qualities. The beer was brewed in batches; some was fermented on oak, some was fermented normally, and some was allowed to sour in the mash tun before being transferred to a fermenter. Boulevards brewers, along with Dann and Martha Paquette of Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project, then blended the batches until desired levels of wood and tartness were achieved for the final product. Aroma Roasted and caramelized malts, toffee, wood, cocoa, banana, almond, mocha, brown sugar, bread crust Malt Roast, burnt, toasty, bready, rich, toasted sweet caramel Hops Subtle herbal and peppery Balance Malt Body Medium; malty body offset by acidity

Corked and caged 750 ml bottle poured into a Boulevard Smokestack series tulip glass. Pours a very dark brown capped with a two finger foamy cream colored head. Significant splotchy lacing present. The aroma of nutty toffee, hints of caramel some phenol alcohol and a touch of cocoa greets the nose. Opens with a hint of dark chocolate joined by almond, caramel, and finishes smooth with mild alcohol warmth cloaked in slightly dry and sweet caramel. A medium level of carbonation and medium smooth body. A solid brew and very enjoyable. One of the better collaborations Ive enjoyed recently.

Tulip at Lord Hobo. Good aroma, sweet, minor tart. Cocoa, chocolate are big. Minor fruitiness. Little cherry. Dark orangy brown. Ok head and lace. Sweet tart flavor. Medium body oily creamy mouthfeel, sweet finish. Real nice beer, aroma is busy with subtle notes but very cocoa oriented. Oak and tart bounce around in both aroma and flavor real oily mouthfeel. A winner

750ml Bottle. Very nice well balanced strong ale. Poured with nice creamy head and aroma full of malt character. Full bodied and flavorfull with just enough bitterness to balance. Drinks very easily and definitately worthy of a repeat visit. Boulevard continues to impress and I look forward to further offerings.

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a hazy, ruddy, dark brown with a thick, light tan head. The nose is slightly spicy with bread and yeast notes. The flavor is a little sweet with nice caramel malt, toffee, and fruitcake notes. Surprisingly dry finish. Medium to full bodied. Nice brew.

Tap at JL Beers in Fargo. I see that this is pretty well like, but I just cant get buy the initial over-roasted to an icky bitter grain. Actually stopped and handed to someone else.

pours a deep reddish brown with lasting finger of tan froth, good lacing, looks like a stingo to me. Aroma of hazelnut, roast, banana, cocoa powder, caramel, flavor of lightly toasted nuts, with a lingering roasty finish, notes of banana and subtly bitter chocolate. Medium bodied. Not as good as sam smith stingo but a fine brew nonetheless.
