Entwined Ale is the first production batch of a test beer formerly referred to as Nelson. While the recipe was adjusted slightly from the original tests, the use of Muscat juice remains the focus. The juice was combined with pale malt in the brewhouse for a beer that is light both in body and in color. It was hopped exclusively with a New Zealand hop variety called Nelson Sauvin, known for its tropical fruit and white wine-like aromatics. This unique session ale has a refreshing, slightly tart finish.

12 ounce bottle. White golden and hazy with a lot of visible carbonation. A white head. Interesting fruit aroma with soft pale malts. The flavor brings that fruit, too. Its neither citrus nor tropical. Some floral notes. This has a simplicity to it and a lot to like. Bonus for the low ABV.

This ale poured a light yellow colour with a minimal, rocky white head. Scents include sour dough, citrus, candy and hops. First swig was very thin and watery with very light flavours of fruit juice and water. This may be the thinnest beer I've ever had.

Pours clear solar yellow with a fairly thick, though effervescent, off-white head. Malty aroma has a definite overtone of grapes/white wine. Flavor balances beer malt and white wine tones over a hint of hops. Mouthfeel has light, refreshing body and a fair amount of fizz. Takes the edge off a sweltering Atlanta day.

5/1/15. 12oz bottle from Bird Dog. Happy International Tuba Day! Almost clear pale gold with a small frothy off-white head. If not for the light chill haze, I would have thought I just poured a Bud Light. Plain aroma, mild grape juice aspect, can’t help but think of Kool-Aid in a way, straw, mild grassiness. The flavor surprises me, I wasn’t expecting so much tartness, which I’m enjoying, but I can’t help but think of Sweet Tarts and grape Kool-Aid or something. A little bit torn on this one, but enjoying it at the moment.

12 oz. bottle via STL trade. Pours a pale, clear bright gold color with a finger of white head that settles unevenly. Notes of bready and crackery malts, straw, grape must, and grass. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Not bad, actually. I was past the ’best by’ date on the bottle, so I’ll add a point to the overall score.

drfabulous (7943) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - APR 28, 2015
12 ounce bottle. Orange clear in color. Pretty tart throughout. Some grape in taste. Not getting the Nelson Sauvin here. Something is overriding it with tart. Probably Muscat.

rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2015
bottle. Golden with small head. Medium grape sweetness. Flavor is mild. Pleasant, but rather boring. If this was just a bit more tart, it would be so much better.

Patrickctenchi (6588) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - APR 1, 2015
Bottle: Just barely hazed light yellow with a frothy white head. White grape, lemon scent. Very minimal flavour...white grape, non-descript citrus,,,,water..... Tastes like an NA without the graininess...... H2O with a grape garnish... It doesn’t taste "bad"....it just barely tastes at all.

hayduke (5205) - Eureka, California, USA - MAR 25, 2015
Via a trade thanks to Doran in Missouri.. Poured yellow with a quickly dissipating white head. Good lacing. Nose of some citrus and grapes. Light to medium body. Flavor is kind of soda pop sweet. Some citrus in finish. Lind of odd.

BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - JAN 15, 2015
Bottle at home. Pours pale yellow with two fingers of white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is vinegar, slight floral, slight tart grapes. Flavor is grapes, white wine, slight hoppiness. Very light bodied. Finishes clean. Not a pleasant beer to drink.
