Very nice one, ample sourness, godo funk, oak, a nicely dry beer, up their with the 3. alexsdad06 (10376) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2013
750 ml bottle at large tasting. Pours a deep copper color with a slight haze and a medium sized frothy off white head. The aroma and flavor had tart fruits, cherry, lemony citrus, oak, mild sweetness, light funk with a touch of musty grape vinous character. The sour character was more prominent on the flavor. Decent. pushkinwow (2789) - Ottawa, CANADA - DEC 16, 2013
Opened at the end of year Ottawa tasting. Hazy amber with an off white head. Bourbon seemed muted on this one although there was a decent amount of oak, a nice tartness, caramel malt and doughiness, some brett, alcohol was balanced but present, moderate body and carbonation, nice tartness throughout jandd1983 (4317) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - NOV 8, 2015
Bottle, aged nicely. It poured a cloudy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of cherry, funk, chocolate and wood. The taste was similar to the aroma with more tartness and malts with an awesome sour finish. Good stuff. beastiefan2k (3978) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Parkville 2011. I think I may have gotten the last pour off the keg. The beer is not super sour, more in the traditional Flanders style with cherry sweetness and an underlying earthy, dirty, sourness. Its thick and complicated with lots of earthy yet berry flavors. Lots of thick, bready malts rolled in there as well. The light sourness is a nice complement.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2012 750ml bottle. Fruity and tart aroma, with notes of oak, vanilla, red grape, cherry and faint background sweetness. Cloudy red-orange in color, head is slight and fading. Flavor profile is predominantly fruity, also woody and earthy, plenty more red/berryish fruitiness here along with faint hints of vanilla, citrus and balsamic. Finishes very tart and dry, nary a trace of the alcohol to be found. Low in effervescence, moderate level of acidity here. Not a bad example of a Flanders Red style sour, would be nicer if it came in smaller bottles and at a lower price. Thanks to Eugene! GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 29, 2012
750mL thanks to Travlr! Pours a full haze, deeper orange tea. Weaker off white foam. Nose is sharp red wine, acetic, saltwater. Taste is tangy, orange, butter, tangy orange. Some sharper ruby red grapefruit juice and lime. Sharp, tangy, not too acetic. Salty all the way. Butter/diacetyl is a little distracting. As it warms, it cleans up. Salty, balsamic, red wine tannic and sharp. Bourbon barrel is a bit of a mismatch but the beer is very nice underneath. Very good. daknole (11047) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2012
Reddish color with an offwhite head. Aroma of cherries steeped in an old balsamic vinegar and some new leather shoes. Flavor is lightly sour, some of the leather comes through in the flavor and some cherries as well. yespr (45398) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2012
