What the hell is this? Tastes like apple cider vinegar. Thats all i get is tons of apple cider vinegar and a tiny amount of sweet cherry. Not good at all. NobleSquirrel (3439) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Bottle shared by theAlum. Pours a deep reddish brown, thin offwhite head. The nose is crisp and tart. Cherries, apple skin and fruit. Reminiscent of old school la folie. On tasting, it is far more subdued. Light tartness, not crushingly acidic. Some brown sugar notes. alcohol is hidden, lighter bodied overall. Very clean and nice enough with cherries and apples again on the finish. Solid. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Pours an orangish red color with white head. Sour, fruit, and vinegar aromas. Sour cherry flavor with white wine notes. rxeight (3332) - Illinois, USA - JAN 17, 2016
750 ml. Tart, metallic. Cherries lemons and berries. Bit of oxidation. Thinking this one was past its prime. madvike (3306) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle shared by jmagnus87...thanks Josh! - Pours hazy roasy amber with a ring of light tan head. Nose is cherries and a light breadiness. Fairly tart. Taste is pretty tart with cherries, a touch of vinegar, some stone fruit, and bready malt. A bit cheesy. Well-carbonated with a fluffy body.

Awesome beer. Super sour with cherries and a hint of green apple. A little oaky wood in there too. Nice bit of funk. I would love to try this one again with a couple years of aging. rougeau13 (3279) - Richmond, Texas, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Hazy caramel colored with a small dirty off white head. Aroma of cherries, leather, funk, and wine. Taste is really tart and funky. Very dry, medium bodied, and below average carbonation. Very nice. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JUL 14, 2012
750ml bottle from The Map Room. Pours a hazy amber-orange colored body with an inch thick, dense, creamy and frothy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is big funky Brett with a really nice, tart cherry sourness and some vinous characteristics. Some lactose acidity, a bit of a dry wood, a light bourbon note, and a lightly sweetened caramel malt and dark toffee creeps in there too as this warms a bit. Flavor is similar. Tart cherries with just a touch of sweetness up front as well as a slightly acidic lactose, lots of Brett funk, and vinous notes before some woodiness comes in along with a light, smooth caramel maltiness. A bit of a leathery note and dark toffee towards the end as the wood carries this into the finish where a light bourbon comes out and this ends dry, clean, tart, funky, and slightly acidic with a touch of smooth maltiness before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Light body and a soft, moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a really nice wild ale. Lots of tart cherries and sour, slightly acidic lactose notes with a nice wood presence, a light bourbon, and a subtle malt backing that is lightly sweetened and smooth. Big fan of this one. bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Pours a ruby murky rusty color with a touch of mocha colored head that dissipate immediately. RIpe dark fruit aromas of rotted fig, wet bark, sour cherry and a mulled vanilla rise from the background. On the palate this is a well made perfectly balanced sour red with great finesse. Good measures of acidity, funk and antiquity come through beautifully. Gonna lay one down for a bit and see what happens... unclemike (3196) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - AUG 16, 2012
A cloudy brown beer with a quickly dissipating beige head. The aroma is wood, vanilla, cherry, and citrus. The flavor is wood and vanilla up front with a very nice tart cherry that intensifies in the finish. Quite sour but also quite delicious.
