Pours a cloudy light amber with a tiny slightly off white head. Nose of brett, oak and dark fruits. Taste is tart with sour cherries, oak, lemon, mellowed brett. The carbonation, tartness and oak flavors seem to blend very well together. The finish is dry and has a buttery bretty oak thing going on. No sign of the booze in there. Bottle @ Yespr. Pours unclear with floaties, orange with a lasting small white head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, cherry like sour fruit, mild cheesy and peach.
Taste is moderate sweet, and mild+ tart. Body is medium, texture is fluffy(very light slick), carbonation is moderate. Finishes mild sweet with lingering tartness. Not bad at all

Rødbrun farge med lyst beige skum. Lukter syrlig frukt og noe gjær. Smaker syrlig og er godt karbonert. Syrlig og god i ettersmak også. En god surøl!

Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Turbid, rusty penny looking pour with lots of hanging sediment; growing beige & gray tinted, chunky head. Aroma full of sour cherry skins, lemonheads, musty oak (quite musty, actually), lactobacillus tartness, back-end vanillin, & moderate suggestions of bourbon that never scold the nostrils. Tart! Very tart up front with more of that cherry & grape skin sourness, light acidic bite but not gut wrenching. Woody & tannic mid-palate with some bourbon flavor & warmth that never gets out of control for the style. Despite it’s presence, it still doesn’t feel or taste like 9.5% ABV. Got in a trade with cyde. 750 ml bottle into tulip glass; bottled on 2/28/2013, best before 2/2015. Pours moderately hazy deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge sour cherry, cranberry, green apple, lemon zest, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, oak, clove, leather, musty funk, toast, light bourbon, light vanilla, herbal, and oak/yeast earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour cherry, cranberry, green apple, lemon zest, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, grass, oak, clove, pepper, leather, musty funk, toast, light bourbon, herbal, and oak/yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of fruity/earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of sour cherry, cranberry, green apple, lemon zest, red wine vinegar, hay, straw, leather, oak, clove, musty funk, herbal, and oak/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/acidity balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, slightly slick, and moderately acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding wild ale. All around fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrel, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV with the balanced acidity. Pours a murky amber/brown like most beers of this style, perhaps a bit murkier than most. Highly carbonated with a nice light brown head. Aromas of funk, berries, and tart cherries with slight hints of oak. Taste is about the same with a nice acidity that coats the palette and leaves one wanting more and more. Almost no taste of bourbon barrels. I would pick this up again and again if it were readily available.
