Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

Draft. For Xmas ales this is excellent. More hops less spice. That's what i always say. Nice job. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle pours a brown color with a nice white head. Aromas of pine, caramel, sweet roasted malt. Medium bodied, nice holiday beer.

Fresh hop seasonal beers are an awesome idea. Too many Holiday beers tend to center on unusual seasonings and other nontraditional ingredients. Nutcracker goes back to the basics by using hops and malts in an attempt to craft holiday flavors. The effort is very well done. This ale is spicy and clean. Happily, Boulevard makes a great holiday beer without selling out.

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2013 12 oz bottle. Appearance: average sized reddish hue head, amber-red color, ok lacing. Aroma: heavy malt, coffee, dough, caramel, herbs, oatmeal, roasty, leather. Palate: medium body, average carbonation, sticky texture. Taste: relatively sweet and mildly sour moving quickly towards a bit of hoppiness and then back to a sweet finish that is relatively short lived. Overall, a very nice Christmas beer and a nice treat on Christmas Eve. Happy holidays!

Pours a nice reddish amber copper color. Nice vanilla cream colored head with decent lacing. Spicy fruitcake aroma. Some bitter citrus hops flavor along with some Christmas spices, cinnamon, mace, and nutmeg. Overall, a nice brew to share with friends and family on Christmas eve.;

Nut Cracker ours a nice deep amber, with a generous head that quickly dissipated (perhaps my pouring technique). While I don’t get hardly any aroma on the nose, the taste more than makes up for it. Rich, malty, and a bit of spice, with a nice underlying sweetness (apparently molasses). Overall a nice winter warmer for the holiday season.
