Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent deeper orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells sweet and malty with notes of molasses. Tastes like it smells with a bit of hops. Average on the palate. Okay. vikingguy (1101) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Cloudy amber-orange with tall head. Not getting much aroma - just some slight resinous hops. Taste is mildly sweet with a good grassy hop bite. Notes of roasted malt, caramel, mineral water and rye. Some spiciness nut not your typical heavily Christmas-spiced ale. Rather dry palate. Good, not great.

Appearance: Pours a relatively clear, dark amber-hued body with a slim, light beige head.
Smell: Moderately spicy with a growing pine resin presence. Toasty, crystal malts. Thin hint of fruit. A bit of alcohol.
Taste: Toasted bread, crystal maltiness with an extra sip of thinned treacle. Scantly nutty. Lightly estery. Woodsy, lightly resiny hops with very light citrus slipping in the taste. Medium bitterness, yet it still finishes a bit sweetish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: It’s fine, but, I’d politely pass it up on a second occasion.
Thick foamy head. Spices (cinnamon?) . Smells yeasty. Dark hazy amber. Nice warming brew. Concealer (1245) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle. Clear dark copper with a frothy amber head. Aromas of caramel, sweet toffee, malt, citrus spice and pine. Flavor is caramel, spice, pine, light citrus and toffee. Medium bodied with a lingering sweet fruit and caramel.

Classic winter warmer. Not crazy spicing, but with a healthy nut and dark fruit undertone. PorterPounder (7890) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Decatur, Ga. - on tap at Taco Mac. Medium copper pour, off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma has a nice Christmas spice tint to it with a touch of molasses. Flavor is sweet with some nuttiness, some date-like fruitiness and a hint of Christmas spices. Misses that ’oomph’ that a beer like this should deliver. Smooth mouthfeel. Mark this one as decent. ryrpat (372) - Illinois, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Noce brown color and nutty smell. Good taste great for the cold weather. Nice beer to relax on the couch with

12oz bottle poured into a Blvd tulip glass. I think this is the first batch where the neck label has the year. Coded 3274 = bottled on April 1, 2013, which seems super early. Best by 2/07/14.
Pours with a nice medium sized strong head that fades to a thick surface covering lacing. Has a beautiful deep amber color with ruby tints, some haze up against a light. A little visible carbonation in the middle of the glass. Very pretty beer, particular the hue against the light. Aroma is strong with fruited light alcohol and hops. Hops are some citrus, some pine, some bitterness - a relatively nice mix. The English character is a bit like a milder Young’s Old Nick (anyone remember that beer?). The flavor is a nice balance of English fruit character with bitter hops. A nice medium bitter finish. A spritzy feel to go along with the tickling hop flavors. A nice beer, I prefer my Winter Warmers to be less hop centric and I would rather drink the Nutsack and ago all out for the hops.

Mildly sweet flavor with seasonal spices. Swallow leaves bitter aftertaste. Slight sweet smell. Not bad but not great either.
