Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2008 What an excellent beer. A lovely dark reddish-amber color. Very spicy hop aroma and taste, with a malty and sweet flavor underneath, and a very nice hop finish. It has the aroma of a very hoppy beer, the finish of a medium hoppy beer, and a flavor excellently balance between malt and hops.

Pours redish brown and slightly opaque. Aroma is spicy and malty. Flavor is of cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg, peraps ginger. The body is fine, but, IMO, not enough hops to balance it. Lingering alcohol in the finish.

A lot of apples and cinnamon. Definitely a Christmas beer. Not quite as good as the Rogue Chamomile, but a heckuva lot easier to come by.

dalepryor (305) - Paducah, Kentucky, USA - DEC 1, 2012
pours a murky orange brown color with minimal head, aromas of floral hops, dark fruit, and a fruity alcohol like aroma. the taste is pretty dry, i’m picking up some dark fruit mostly raisins, it has a mild sweetness to it and a bitter finish. This was my first boulevard, It’s not bad.

poured from bottle into a pint glass. Pours a nice medium amber color very good aromas of christmas spices, malts and some roasted nuts along with some resiny hop aromas as well. medium bodied with a good attack, but lacking on the mid and back palate. Good flavors of spices, caramel, and malts a very good christmas ale. Straight forward, but lacking a slight bit of the taste and feel.

tedovertu (297) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - DEC 16, 2008
Medium clear amber pour. Little to no head. Malts and dark fruit present. pretty good mouth feel. A nice Christmas beer with it spiciness and slightly hoppy finish.

bender (293) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2004
Hazy, red-brown body with a tan head. No lacing.
Malt and sweetness dominate the aroma. Fruity. Some alcohol.
Carmelized malt with some cinnamon dominate the flavor. Some plum/raisin hints.
Rich and full mouthfeel but with a stripping finish of alcohol.

hockey9930 (293) - - NOV 2, 2015
Pours a murky auburn with half finger tan head. Weak malty aroma. Initial flavor is of toffee and caramel but finishes with a light hop kick.

geeklimit (292) - USA - JAN 7, 2012
Pours an overly-carbonated head on a dark amber ale, have to stop mid-pour. Cream head lasts for a long time. Notable hops aroma. Spicy hops taste on a decently thicker and very bubbly consistency. Slightly dry finish with not unpleasant bitter hops aftertaste.
