COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

This is the best Christmas beer around. It is a winter ale, has a dark brown color, very malty with lots of spices. Poured a good head.

Pours cloudy and hazy, sort of an orange gingerbread color. Small, off-white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is subtle, but there is some charred molasses that suggests an earthy sweetness. Flavor is a fruity, yet bitter, a hint of molasses, with earthy and spicy hops. I thought this would be sweeter than it is . . . not as full-bodied as I would like. The thinness of the beer is covered up via over-carbonation . . . it certainly dances on the palate, but it seems disingenuous. Still, this makes for a decent session beer, and I find the after taste rather pleasant.

Pours a cloudy amber with tan one finger head. Spiciness up front which leads to a nice malty, hoppy finish. Hats off to Boulevard for another high quality brew. Try it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown in color with little head. Spicy aroma which also carried into the flavor. Nice winter treat.

12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful honey color with a thick off white head. Smells like sweet maple syrup and grains. The taste is sweet and bitter at the same time, a good balance. This beer has a decent hoppy kick, and fairly active carbonation. Seasonal, so grab when possile.

Another member of a variety pack, I bought for a party. It fit my budget and pleased my guests. A good holiday ale.

On draft. It’s got a fruity-sweet aroma that was pretty unexpected, along with some hop. Thin head with a dark brownish-red color. It’s got a bit of the alcohol flavor you’d expect from a winter warmer, as well as some piney hop flavors that linger nicely. Overall a very nice, slightly more hop-forward winter warmer.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2017 Dark amber pour into a snifter glass. Taste is hard to describe. Reminds me of something barrel aged even though it isnt. Also notice some hops which surprised me. Have to sip on this one as it burns going down like a stronger drink would.

Fair to good. Expect a little more from here but good non the less with molasses and malts and decent hop flavor and aroma. Slightly sweet on finish to be expected from description.
