COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of freshly harvested "wet" Chinook hops.

If you think this is good -- go to the brewery toward the end of the season! All the hops sink to the bottom and they squeeze it out. Call it "nut sack" if you will. Spicy, carmelly, hoppy. It’s a holiday masterpiece.

Bottle pours golden orange with a long lasting white head. Aroma is malty with caramel and citrus notes. Tastes surprisingly more bitter than sweet, with caramel flavor that is overpowered by a grapefruit citrus and spice finish. Medium carbonation with a light-medium body. Decent beer but would like to see more malt presence in this style of beer.

Bought Beer from Lukas Liquor in a Mix-A-Six. (2nd Beer of Night) BEST BY 02/15/11 (labeled on front of bottle) Appearance:Has an orange body and cloudy Smell: you can smell all hops, very nice Taste: Dry-Hopped, almost like a Pale Ale Mouthfeel: After sitting on my pallet for a while, has weight and an unique feel Drinkability: Is a classic ale to have with a meal and would suggest it to anyone wanting to venture out to a new Winter Warmer.

Brown and clear. Not much head. Smells nice, with spicy and sweet notes. Taste though is too spicy for me. A definite blend of many flavors, but with no balance.

Reminds me of a stronger Belgian Ale with fruity spices mixed in. Nice amber color, decent head, strong flavor. Love the beer!

Bottle. Boulevard has some great beers. This is perhaps the best! It is a dark reddish brown, whith good aroma, and nice mouthfeel and just a hint of spice. A perfect winter beer. At 224 calories, better drink this one slowly!

12oz bottle dated best by 2/28/12 poured into english pint glass Aroma: Pine, hops, caramel, bread, resin, herbs, woody Appearance: hazy coppery brown. 1 finger of off white frothy head that lingered a bit. Laces glass nicely. Taste: mild sweet, medium bitter, heavy sour Palate: finish is bitter and sour. very off putting. medium body and creamy texture. lively carbonation. mouth feel is good Overall: This is one of my least favorite boulevard beers. Have not had it for a few years and still don’t like it. Too much bitter and sour with no sweet to balance it. Alot of pine and wood that I don’t really like either. Wanted to give this one another chance but it was still another let down

Thick cloudy orange with an off white head. Not much carbonation. Had a citrus aroma with orange peel standing out the most. The Nutcracker name is not really appropriate for this one. The flavor was mild citrus, mostly orange. Kind of a flat finish.
