COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

bottle, poured dark gold with white hice head head disapated but lasted a while. Grain aroma, thin body bold taste, well ballanced, malty taste with bite at end. Not too bitter, though i do prefer the hops taste of I.P.As i can tell you that this beer is a great beer.

Dark golden light amber color with a substantial with head. Heavy carbonation! Bready aroma with some fruity undertones. Initial fruit malt taste but the heavy carbonation steals from the bittering hops. All in all a okay pale ale.

Just a few words: medium bitterness, cereal, earthy, grass, cloudy, pale, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter, medium body, I mostly drank this out of a bottle, and it is my least favorite of Boulevards fine beers.

One of my all time favorites. Exellent fresh taste. I allways pick up a couple of cases when Im back in KC to last a few weeks. Replaced Sierra Pale Ale as my favorite, has a liitle less pine needles taste

Summit Distributing. Sweet floral, hop aroma. A lil caramel. Copper colored. Sweet hop note in the mouth as well. Drying, bitter finish. Great brew! Support your local brewery!

on draft at blueberry hill st louis. typical looking pale, copper clear with a small fancy head. slight nose of floral hops and kafilta fish. a mild med bodied beer on the palate. whimsical notes of grassy hops and some maltiness stiffening up the arch. a bit thinner then i had hoped for.

Very drinkable. The nose has some hops to it, nothing too strong or interesting. The taste has hops and a bit of barley or some other kind of grain that I wasnt able to place my finger on really. It could have been the glass the more I think about it.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with robanion, thanks Ray!) Woops, this beer is smelling a bit infected. The funky, somewhat sour nose might be okay for a saison, but not for an American pale ale. Cant really detect any malts or hops in the aroma, just the funk. The flavor is much more acceptable, but there is still a moderately strong element of citrusy sourness present here as well, and it seems to be the dominant force in the flavor. Note, however, that the flavor doesnt taste infected at all if I hold my nose well into the finish, so its just the funky odor thats causing all the problems. Behind the citrus, there isnt too much going on, a moderately bitter hoppiness, and then a gentle pale maltiness behind that, and overall, it tastes minimally sweet. The body seems a bit thin to me, so lets call this light-to-medium, with citrusy sour/bitter mouthfeel. Bright amber in color, with a slight haze to the appearance. The off-white head rises to a standard half-inch in height, but I poured the last half of the bottle rather vigorously when I saw that the head was going to be stubborn to develop. Lacing is minimal, with just a single strand of lace hanging vertically on the glass. Even if the nose wasnt so sour and funky, which of course impacts the flavor, I still dont think Id like this beer much. Not enough malt in the mix for me, and the citrusy hops isnt pleasant enough to compensate for that.
