Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, well-balanced beer with year-round appeal. A variety of caramel malts imparts a rich flavor and amber color, while liberal use of whole Cascade hops adds zest and aroma. Pale Ale is the first beer we brewed, and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Copper/amber with a foamy white head. Aroma was citrus and malt. And, for some unknown reason, I got a hint of parmesean. Smooth and creamy, medium bodied. Flavor was pleasant citrus and hops. A good, crisp, refreshing beer. Nothing outstanding, just good.

By tradition I am a lager man, and it is with great reserve when I purchase an ale to drink. But as a staunch supporter of Boulevards Unfiltered Wheat, I thought I would give this beer a try. By far the best Ale Ive tasted. Flavor was very tasty, with a very fruity and somewhat sweet note. Colour was a nice peach/copper colour. Very fine.

Color approaches peach, with a fine white crown. Aroma is fresh with hops (Cascade?), and bubbling over with fruit: apricot, peach, pineapple, some soft citrus at the back. Very sweet and delicious, this. Palate is flavorful with welcome hop presence, just enough for flavor, but too prominent. Malt is strong and silent: you can feel it, and taste a touch. Very well-balanced, smooth and tasty, this pale ale reminds me of Sierra Nevada in its mellow but fruit-forward fashion. Goes down beautifully, and Id toss it back with regularity if I could. Sharper aspects of homulus lupus arrive late on the palate, and contribute to some variety in this brew. Finish is short but sweet. Quite enjoyable.

orange colored with a nice hoppy smell and taste. has a nice rich flavor that is not dominated by hops. the hops in this beer are perhaps a little too smooth for an APA, but this is still a good solid brew. thanks bill for this one too!

Amber pour thats clear with no head and some lacing. Odd first impression of the aroma. Bandaids. Caramel and malts come out next finishing with bitter hops and some fruits. Flavors are of bitter roast and earthy hops. Fairly standard pale ale.

Copper gold color with white head & lacing. The aroma is very lightly fruity with some trace fresh hops & stale caramel. The flavor is very similar, balanced & refreshing. Not very thought provoking but clean & balanced, good lawnmower beer. Thanks Falconseye!

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2008 A very solid pale ale. A great beer that I can find at most local establishments year round.

Kind of like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but not as good. Overall, a beer worthy of repurchase.

Light amber with a medium diminishing off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, honey, citrus, and a hint of spice. Medium watery body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor of bread and caramel with hints of pepper, pine and citrus. A decent session beer. Good, but it gets lost in the crowd of decent pale ales.

Thanks to Mjames for sending me the great collection of Boulevard, You Rock Mike!

Pours with a foggy bronze body and a billowing ivory head. The aroma is malty, lots of caramel, but at the same time I note a wonderful hoppy presence; a bit citric, but more a note of cedar wood chips. Yep, this is more an English Pale Ale, but its a damn fine rendition! Nice woodsy notes, pine and cedar from the hops. Then I pull caramel and fine notes of brown sugar and butterscotch. Medium palate and a crisp tart finish Brewing Done Well!
