UPDATED: APR 4, 2010 I love this beer. A solid pale ale. Nice head. Beautiful color. Taste has just the right maltiness with an even and strong citrusy bitterness from start to finish. skeils (10) - Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 23, 2009
bottle - pours amber with attractive head. Perfect balance between drinkability and beer nerd. Tasty enough to keep you interested and easy enough to drink for people that don’t drink a lot of good beer. My all time personal favorite. Although I am biased, because I live and breathe in KC, this pale ale is much better than its ratings. Accordingly, I don’t do the mouthfeel, taste, color thing -- while I certainaly appreciate all attempts to deciper the secret meaning of those fruity smells and frothy heads. Out of hand, this is my go-to beer, year round, and I love it. Didn’t love it at first because I was a ’serious’ beer drinker. As a ’normal’ beer drinker who strives for freshness and awesomeness, it is KC’s finest. kawryan99 (5) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - AUG 14, 2001 does not count

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2011 Poured bottle in pint glass: weak caramel and earthy aroma; hazy amber color; minimal off-white head with some lacing; nice hoppy flavor with medium bitterness and slightly dry abrupt finish, sticky texture with light to medium body, soft carbonation, great drinkability, well balanced, but not very complex if that is what you look for. One of the best beer’s that boulevard makes year to date! The beer has a deep roasty red almost orange like color. The aroma of has a zesty start with a lively earthy like ending. Tarmac61cm (5) - , Kansas, USA - MAR 4, 2012 does not count

Tailgate me this, beer snobs. For a smooth drinking, solid pale ale experience, I suggest that blvd pale ale soars beyond its 74 rating. Do you drink good beer? Or do you poo-poo good beer bc you have an agenda or a political party problem? This beer is a 96 in the sheets. You’d sleep with her. To win in the NFL, I drink blvd pale ale.
