Strong piney aroma with strong piney hops flavor that is slightly astringent. The subtle malt backbone with the aromatic hop flavor makes this a perfect light and refreshing summer session beer. MetalNHopHead (1886) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - APR 28, 2014
UPDATED: APR 13, 2015 Boulevard Pop-Up has established a reputation for being one of the best Session IPAís out there. After having it, Iím inclined to agree. Dry-hopping has given this beer an alluring floral aroma that pairs beautifully with the bready malt smells. If it wasnít for that tropical hop aroma, youíd think you had dunked your nose into a glass of wheat ale. Thanks to a big, pillowy head, youíll have an excellent chance to enjoy the hoppy aromas. The taste is out of this world. The dense malt tones down the bitterness of the Centennial, Cascade, and Amarillo hops which are often quite aggressive. This allows the stronger hops to impart a citrusy flavor that points to lemon. For the sweeter Citra hops, the malt creates an orange cream flavor that is amazing. Perhaps the only thing Iíd change is the carbonation. Itís just a bit too strong but is otherwise cleansing and refreshing. In the end, this isnít just one of the best Session IPAís in the states, itís one of Boulevardís all-time best ales, in my opinion. swholub (20) - - SEP 26, 2013
Poured from draft: The aroma on this beer presents a burst of fruity hops. The balance between the malt and hops of this beer is fantastic and a perfect combination. I get hints of biscuity notes breaking through the hop notes. Light to medium bodied on the mouthfeel. Pop Up IPA is an extremely approachable session ale with loads of flavor and characteristics. I am very impressed with this beer & the direction this brewery is headed in. Tacodestroyer9 (1) - Kansas City, Alabama, USA - MAR 17, 2014 does not count

Wow a hoppy beer that I can drink all day, hence the session label. The citra hops come through big and bold in this one. Will definitely reach for this one again.

Bottle pour, hazy golden color with a slightly smokey/yeasty aroma. Taste is well balanced with a good amount of hop that is not overpoweringly bitter with tones of citrus. Cuff_Links (40) - - MAY 3, 2015
I enjoyed this session beer and did not find any sacrifice in flavor for the low alcohol. A great example of an accessible IPA. CHeers! RickReallyBrew (95) - Franktown, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2015
This is a low gravity IPA that tastes great. If you are an IPA drinker and donít have it in you to take down a highGravity IPA tonite, you might really enjoy this. Itís all about the flavor one seeks, not the alcohol. This brew is very refreshing and wonít put you in a coma if you are tired and not up to the full assault of a bigger brew. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a large foamy white head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of fresh squeezed oranges, grapes, pineapple and loads of other great fruity and citrusy notes. Flavor of citrus, floral hops and bready malt. Moderate hop bitterness. Nice and dry with a cereal grain maltiness. Drink it fresh and pour it into a glass to fully experience the aroma.
