Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version—inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A.—boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping.

Conventional yet excellent knotty grapefruit aroma. Medium orange with lacy head. Bitter front, sweet malty finish. Citrus filled, and not a dry beer either. Flush, medium body that threads the fine needle head of refreshment and bitterness. Very enjoyable, classic IPA.

12oz bottle picked up at a liquor store in Sleepy Eye, MN during family reunion weekend. Color is pretty standard IPA fare...lighter golden orange with about a half finger of white head. Nose blended floral qualities with a little bit of malty cereal serving as the backdrop for pine resin hoppy characteristics. Taste keeps the bitterness in check more than others within the style. There is plenty of citrus and pine but the overall consumption carries an undercurrent of malty sweetness. Nothing too unique in general but I appreciate that the brewery has tried to bring double IPA style and flavor profile to a lower ABV IPA. I would be willing to open wide and invite this into my rotation of IPAs to stock at home.

355ml bottle. Fresh fruity nose. Taste follows with bags if tropical fruits. Mid carbonation. Lovely balance, slightly bitter finish. Very quaffable.

GemmeDeReve (119) - FRANCE - JUL 12, 2017

Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a hazy pale amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, pineapple, some caramel, slight pine and subtle spicy hops. Taste of orange, grapefruit, resin, slight pineapple, a little mango, a hint of dankness, some roasted malts, caramel and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A long, dry, slightly dank, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. Typically American but with a lot more dankness and resin. Good.

Distinct coppery taste at first. Not much of an aroma. Good body with a crisp finish. All round nice IPA

oobawa (1505) - Tennessee, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Okay IPA, more green and herbal than I care for, leaning more English than American except for the piney flourish at the finish. Pale malts add a cracker-thin sweetness, while the hops swerve Noble as they fade, gaining a flowery soap tone on the back end. Beautiful pint, though, and the creamy, easygoing texture is nice. Enjoyable but forgettable.

weark (807) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - JUN 11, 2017
