Bottle. Fruits, chocolate, light roastiness in aroma, in taste quite sweet, malty, fruity with good chocolate. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Ok. tfontana (968) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 25, 2016
Bottle pour into shaker pint glass. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts, a little bit of chocolate, vanilla, alcohol. Appearance is opaque black with 2-finger width creamy head with excellent retention and nice sudsy lacing. Taste is dark fruit, roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, late coffee. Palate is medium bodied with smooth, creamy texture, soft carbonation and balance of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, this is great all around. Sweet, to be sure, but with enough roasted bitterness to balance it out and the mouthfeel and look are fantastic. fuzzcro (295) - Illinois, USA - NOV 15, 2016
This is nearly perfect...could be a tad thicker but it has everything else. Sweet taste with a tingle..nice aroma. A very pleasant glass of stout. ABUSEDGOAT (2759) - California, USA - NOV 14, 2016
Black pour, fairly large tan head with good lace/retention. Aroma is Belgian yeast, chocolate, licorice, chalk, anise, darker fruit, spicy hops. Medium to full body, moderate to high alcohol, soy, licorice, chocolate, darker fruit flavor with Belgian yeast. Interesting take on an Imperial Stout from the US. puboflyons (3432) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 10, 2016
From the 12 FL oz bottle acquired on a trip to Texas. Black as night heady pour. Lacing. The aroma brings out a dark malt sweetness as well as a notable boozy character. The body is full. The taste is nicely dark and roasty but like the nose the booze lingers. But it is still quite excellent.

Black color with a nice thick creamy tan head. Looks really gorgeous.
Licorice, salt, roasted malt, sweetness and mild hops in the aroma.
The flavor is licorice, salt, cough syrup, licorice drops, roasted malt and some hops. Pretty nice. Not amazingly enjoyable but okay. A bit simple for an Imperial Stout.
Small bottle from Julio’s. Pours out jet black with a lacy tan head. Aroma of sweet plum, roasty malt, smoke and earthy woody booze. Flavor is super complex and very tasty. Layers of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel, spicy fruit, herbs and smoke. Thick and chewy body. Very impressive. zvikar (6149) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - OCT 23, 2016
Black with red hues, huge beige brown head, aroma of chocolate, caramel, honey, fruit, flavor of chocolate, fruity, caramelly, sweetish, medium bodied. davidezdonz (498) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - OCT 19, 2016
A 12 fl oz bottle with a best by date of 24th February 2017, and poured into a snifter glass. It poured a pitch black colour with a one finger tanned head that dissipated quickly but left some nice lacing. Aromas of roasty coffee, chocolate, crème brûlée, caramel, some dark fruits like plum and fig and a touch of smokiness. Tastes similar to the aroma except the dark fruits and char smokiness are more prominent whereas the roasty coffee and chocolate notes are more in the background. There is also some bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation and a dry finish. Overall this was an interesting Imperial Stout. Body was a lighter than I prefer and carbonation perhaps a tad too high. But still definitely worth a try.
