Pours dark black with tan head. Aroma of malt, Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and alcohol. Flavor of big malty stout with dried fruit, and Belgian yeast. Didn't know this had Belgian yeast when I got it but it is an interesting flavor that brings out the fruitiness of the malt. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Pours black with small dark tan head. Aroma is rich and slightly sour. Deep rich deep and very slightly sour with hints of earth and smoke that do not interrupt the smooth sweet and sour overall flavor.

Bottle. Deep dark brown with a large crown of a tan head. Aroma is notes of dried fruit with hints of roasted grains and mocha. Taste is dried fruit, coffee, chocolate and dark toast.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2016 Pours Black, clear color, with very stable creamy light brown, beige long lasting head. Aroma; intense aroma of dark malts, which takes on espresso coffee, milk chocolate, salty licorice, supported with hop aroma, which takes on dark fruits, plums, prunes and supported with slight spiciness. Similar are flavors: intense roasted malt flavors, with notes of coffee, milk chocolate, salty licorice, with hint of mint, very well balanced with hop flavors, which takes on plums, prunes...Finish is slightly sticky, dry and roasted bitter. Body is moderate fulle, texture is very smooth (oat of course!), carbonation is medium. Strange mix of belgian yeasts and english malts, but it works! Very good belgian style imperial stout!
