COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barley, wheat, rye and oats provide the foundation for this big stout. Layers of complex flavors slowly emerge from the glass: espresso, roasted fig, creme brulee. Belgian yeast provides a plum-like fruitiness, noble German hops reveal spicy, herbal notes, while the rich, velvety mouthfeel mellows to a dry, smoky finish. Such a robust beer stands well by itself, but also makes a wonderful end-note to any rich, indulgent meal. Discover the secret of combining this roasty ale to sweets, by pairing with dark chocolate or caramel, or even by pouring it over ice cream.

Piana bardzo obfita, drobna, trwała. Barwa mahoniowo brązowa, nieco za jasna. Aromat to kawa zbożowa, suszone śliwki, zioła, karmel. Goryczka niska do średniej, tytoniowa, palona, ziemista, ładnie ukryty alkohol.

Bottle I brought back from S.D. Pours a nice black. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Flavor is awesome, rich and smooth, like roasted espresso loaded with dark bitter chocolate and kinda sweet. The alcohol is well hidden among the massive flavors.

A very serviceable IS, bottle share from Ron, last we tried so I missed any complexity that may have been here. Drinkable, nothing off about this, licorice, smokiness and dark chocolate. Gritty / roasted / toasted, a bit of booziness. Seemed standard.

Black pour with a thin beige head and light sticky lacing ..... aroma of dark fruits (plums, figs), Belgian yeast roasted malts, chocolate and light licorice ..... taste is of dark fruits mostly (figs and plums) has a dried sweet fig flavor, roasted malts, touch of coffee, chocolate, definitely a dark Belgian yeast, has a lot of quad like qualities with light licorice and a lingering dry spicy lightly bitter bite (rye) on the backend .... mouthfeel is soft and silky with a bitter dry finish and some tartness .... nice change of pace imperial stout .... finish has lingering dark fruit flavor and chocolate
