this beer pours black with a light brown large head. This beer tastes of sour dark fruits, sour raisens,dark malts and lots of spices, the alcohol taste is over bearing and it has a bitter after taste. Not my favorite
Pours thick black with slight head. Aroma is brown sugar, chocolate and a hint of roast. Taste is dried fruit, molasses and chocolate. Finish is typical Belgian yeast strain. The truth is, it's 3:30 am, I'm trying to work, but I'm not that motivated. I just need to get over this hump and I think a nice cold beer will do it. The beer is dark with a 1.5 cm frothy and undulating head, which has some staying power. This head is protecting the beer from spreading it's aroma, so it's tough to get a full aromatic profile. I give it some time and take to sniffing the empty bottle. From it, I get lots of soy and light caramel. The beer itself gives off chocolate, coffee, and some light grains. Taste is smoky malts, dark chocolate, some sourness, brown sugar, coffee and through the head...strong bitterness. Dark khaki head on dark dark bottom, i smell molasses, red wine, alcohol and milk chocolate—quite a nosefull. Resiny hop flavor with underlying molasses, alcohol and almost lemon. Lighter on the palate than most stouts, but is that a bad thing. My tongue feels stung. Very active finish.

Black pour into a stemmed chalice with a tan long lasting head. Roasted barley aroma with some burnt notes. Medium body with some hop bitterness to offset the heavy malts used. Dry filling finish..

This is a stiff stout. Pours a pure black, oily, viscous, thin tan head. Aroma is quite fruity, cherries and light prune notes, dark chocolate, big coffee notes. First sip I note: the body is slight creamy, quite heavy, no carbonation, fruity notes throughout with black cherries and plum notes. Roasted malts, espresso beans, dark chocolate. The finish is bitter but not over the top, moderate booze presence. 355ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a large, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and licorice. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, plums, figs, dates, anise, coffee and smoke with a warming vinous note in a dry, mildly bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty.
