Bottled. Pitch black colour, beigeish brown small head, which leaves lace and lasts for quite a while. Aroma is roasted malts, some liquorice, coffee, mild alcohol as well as some vanilla and some slight yeasty notes. Flavour is consisting of pretty much the same elements, also having a nice burnt wet wooden flavour. I’ve had this around for some while, and it feels like aging this a bit was a winner. Too bad I didn’t buy more bottles. of it. Travlr (26202) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 27, 2010

bottle at home ... dark roast ... bubbly tan head ... soft light malt roast ... sweet roast ... dark malts ... little chocolate ... light dark roast ... soft bitterness ... light hint of yeast ... nice and easily drinkable omhper (25805) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 11, 2013
Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black with rich, firm, beige head. Mostly metal and ash up front. Sweetish with full body and soft mouthfeel. Hearty coffee, creme brulee topped by salty, grassy hops. Rich yet mellow, with some licorice and long resiny bitterness. Some warmth in the finish. Terrible aroma, but the richness and softness of the malt is what I remember this beer for. madmitch76 (25801) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2013
