Rating #1610 - 24.04.2015 - On tap @underground_yeg. Dark, jet black pour. Aroma is toasted cereal, earth, coffee grounds. Palate is a sweet mix of alcohol warmth, chocolate, coffee, and earth. Fantastic. horto008 (187) - Alabama, USA - JAN 23, 2016
Wonderful stuff. In particular, this is a thick and creamy stout that surpasses most that use the title imperial. The head lingers pretty much forever, and the mouthfeel is almost syrupy. It is slightly sweet for my taste. Panzuriel (2324) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - JAN 17, 2016

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Lots of dark roast and nice sweetness. Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Sweet, dark molasses, nice bit of light roast and long sweetness. SirLimpsalot (4375) - SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2016
@ Basunen 16-1-9: Label: whiskey barrel. Trevlig fyllig doft med tydliga whiskey (bourbon) toner. Smaken är len och rätt söt. Toner av lakrits och choklad. Gott.

Bottle 2011, courtesy of plovmand. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, chocolate and dark fruit with notes of whiskey; oak, tar, smoke. The flavours starts very sweet but finish slightly bitter. Lingering roasted taste. The body is full and the texture is oily. Soft carbonation. A nice warmth of alcohol. Nice one... Plovmand (8533) - Grindsted, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2015
Bottle. 2011 edition. It pours opaque black with a firm dense beige head. Huge sweet roasted aroma with lots of oak and vanilla notes. Chocolate and ripe dark fruit. Some oxidation in the flavor but extremely tasty notes of chocolate, vanilla and oak. Roasted malts and prunes. Yes! markducommun (1187) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2015
Deep inky opaque brown, minimal dark tan head. Deep strong chocolate, quite a bit of alcohol, some flat earthiness. Milk sweetness. Lightly bitter, long sweet finish. Heavy, oily body. Very long finish. Good. Beastwhite315 (33) - - DEC 22, 2015
Very nice flavor with unique character. You don't notice the alcohol content so it goes down smooth. Good malt character and not hoppy or bitter.

2014. Really astringent. Bitter chocolate. Lots of grain and oatmeal. Coffee. Stone fruit. Alcohol on the finish.
