Appearance is clear golden with a huge white frothy foam cap. Aroma is spicy and peppery yeast, with earthy and herbal hop character. Taste is sweet bready, biscuity malt with some pepper notes and crisp hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium with a high carbonation. Finished very dry with a stickiness on the tongue and a lingering bitterness. EdKing (2648) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2014
Bottle from the American Bar at GBBF 2014. Beautiful looking in the glass. Rich opaque cloudy bright amber to orange, with a thick creamy white foam head. Whilst a Belgian style, this has the distinctive clean lines of a top American craft beer all the way through. None of the deliberate imperfections of a Belgian saison. Nose is crisp perfumey saison yeast, fruity yeast esters, citrous lemon, pink grapefruit and orange, slight fusty grain and farmyard. On the taste its got the tangy yeastiness of a Belgian saison or Tripel, some bitter happiness, crisp cereal grain, touch of honey, and a soft citrous fruitiness I wouldn’t normally associate with a Belgian saison because of the new world hops. Orange fruit on the finish. Rich, big and bold in flavour, but also good balance of flavours on the palate. On the finish its nice and soft fruity, with the creamy head adding to a delicious mouthfeel. Brilliant interpretation of a Belgian saison with the clean perfect lines of American brewing at its best. wvhoran (477) - Tasmania, - AUG 21, 2014
750ml bottle. Pours a nice cloudy yellow with a large and firm white head. The aroma is very pleasant with sweetish notes of light malt, yeast, grapefruit, pineapple, a touch spicy. The flavour is fairly sweet with peachy and citrus fruits, hay, yeast, pepper, followed by a dry and slightly bitter finish. Very refreshing. The alcohol is detectable, and for the style, I would enjoy this beer more if it sat at perhaps 7-7.5%. Not my favourite saison but very good. odog (25) - Ohio, USA - AUG 20, 2014
Draft @ Frick and Frack in KC. Served in a small tulip glass. Nice presentation but farmhouse ales deserve big pours, not dainty quantities and snifter glasses. It would probably review better with more volume. Its good stuff though. Herbicles69 (57) - Parker, Colorado, USA - AUG 18, 2014
I usually love Farm house ales but this was a bit heavy for me. It tasted good, but I felt like I had a food baby the entire time

A clouded golden pour with a tight frothy head. Awesome retention. Yeasty aroma. Floral hop flavor on a bed of creamy amber and pale malt with a subtle trace of yeast. A mellow bite with a sweet bread finish.

On tap at Big'z. Hazy, pale amber with white, lacing head. Fruity aroma, citrus, maybe a little grapefruit. Sweet taste, with a citrusy hops finish.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2015 Bottle, hazy amber-gold. clasic funky nose with hints of apple, orange and hops, crisp with a chewy body and a citrus bitter edge. Nice example of the style, almost a farmhouse IPA. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2014
Bottle as an extra in trade. Forget who. Thanks. I’ve had this sitting for a bit so I’m 9 days past the Best By date. Didn’t seem to matter. This was good stuff. Pours hazy yellow with a massive fluffy whir head. Aroma of hay, yeasties, barnyard, very straight forward. Flavor is very nice and refreshing. Yeast, hay, dusty barnyard but balanced out by a bit of honey, fruit esters, pears, apples, and a bit of light spice. Light bodied and high carbonation. A really awesome beer here. Easily my favorite from Boulevard. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2014
