COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

Very nice farmhouse ale. Lemon like flavor and zest. Some earthy barnyard yeasty funk, but well done and balanced. Some Belgian yeasty flavors. Quite enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance- cloudy, straw, gold. Big bone white uber foamy head. Excellent lacing. Smell- fruity (banana) and floral aromas dominate, followed by some grass and a little bread. Taste- complex with quite a bit going on (earthy, malty, spicey). What stands out is the bitter aftertaste dominated by grapefruit. Awesome! Mouthfeel- medium, crisp, outstanding balance. Overall- excellent!!! Not to be missed. A quality quaff. Cheers all!

From tap at Boulevard tasting Room. Pours gold and very clear for a saison. Spice, bitter, malt, and alcohol are all incredibly balanced. This is a great end to a hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Type: 12-oz. bottle Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif. Price: $11.99 for a 4-pack Purchased: May 28, 2014 Consumed: May 29, 2014 Misc.: Best by Aug. 14, 2014 Poured a golden, straw, semi-clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of pillowy white head. Good deal of bubbles coming up from the bottom. Good amount of foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Thick, foamy retention on the top of the glass all the way down. Smelled a pleasant variety of notes on the nose. Got cloves, tropical notes, grape, kiwi, sour apple, sour fruit, sweet floral notes, caramel, honey, light banana bread and faint peppery spices. Pretty lovely. Tasted not quite as good as the smell, which would be difficult anyway. First thing I noticed was the alcohol. Not as hidden as I would have thought from a Saison. Got tropical notes, kiwi, green apple, green grape, sour fruits, honey, floral notes, banana bread, caramel and unknown lingering Belgian spices. Light body. Oily texture. Lively-to-average carbonation. Long, astringent finish. I wavered between an overall rating of 3.75 and 4.00, but the latter got the nod. The smell was fantastic.

Aroma is fruity hops, sweet malt, peppery spice. Beautiful light golden color with some reflective haze. White head. Big fruity notes from hops lead to a strong pepper finish. Clove. High carbonation. Dry with residual impression of sweetness.

Purchased November 2013, enjoyed May 2014. Suds of beer stay for a while, to the point of annoyance if a rookie makes the pour fromcthe bottle. Base of the beer is a deep yellow that glows delightfully if back lit well. The beer presents a flavor typical of the saison variety. Straw and citrus dominate with notes of delicate leather at the end . Flavor comes and goes quickly. Leaves the mouth slightly astringent feeling. Although a good beer I am happy to be done with the 24 that I purchased I won’t likely buy again at the price vs taste. 12 fl oz bottle.

@Dbob whatever your name is, first off your an idiot. Smokestack is the worst BBQ in KC out of all of them. I don’t care for Arthur Bryant’s or Gate’s either but obviously you have not had much BBQ in the area. OK Joe’s is superior to most of these dumps. Tank 7 is one of the best beers I have ever had.
