THOUGHTS: Very intense saison. Tons of flavor but easy to drink and hid ABV easily. Very enjoyable. It would go well with a large variety of food.
THOUGHTS: Tried 2/24/2013. Bottle. Label said 8% ABV not 8.5%. Poured a hazy, medium yellow with a large, every so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished but left excellent lacing. The aroma contained moderate light bread and pale malts; moderate lemon, pineapple and tropical fruit hops; slight melon hops; heavy spicy and dusty yeast; and honey. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and heavily bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and moderately acidic and bitter with a long duration. There was cracker, white bread, lemon tropical fruit, a little grapefruit, and spicy and dusty yeast. The light to medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry finish. Pours. Who the h knows. It’s dark outside and all I can tell is that it has a large white head. Aromas of saison. Taste is off dry phenolic esters of the Belgian variety. It’s tæm but not mind blowing. I’m buzzed quick. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Enjoyed on tap at Lyfe Kitchen in Chicago, IL prior to seeing Kids in the Hall. Appearance is cloudy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of light spice, Belgian ale yeast, light clove, smell is nice. Taste is rather good, somewhere between a Hefeweizen and a Belgian ale, with clove notes and a light fruity characteristic. I can see why this is a popular brew. Bottle in Virginia Beach. The pour is a cloudy yellow with a big, chunky head. The aromas are citrus and the many flavors include bready malt, yeast, fruit and spice. Very tasty and refreshing. Finishes crisp and dry. hman43 (1771) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUN 7, 2014
It pours with a heavy head that is rather pillowy. It has a heavy yeast aroma with cheese and basement aromas. It is golden in color with some lacing. There is a pleasant combination of spices with some sweet, fruit flavors. It has a dry finish.

Bottle shared by Rob at the Pig in Boca. Thanks! Small snifter pour was yellow-gold with a nice fluffy one finger head. Aroma was biscuit, barnyard, wet straw, funk, fruit (apricot or lychee). Taste was awesome with funky wild yeasts, hay/straw, slight fruity esters, horse blanket. Light, clean, carbonated, funky finish. Damn good and look forward to another one of these. On tap at Patrick's. Beautiful clear orange-golden color. This would be perfect for fall. Spicy nose. A creamy feel. The spice flavor dominates, but is not overpowering. Really good as a specialty beer, but not for my regular rotation.

A little sweet initially, followed by a slight bitterness, and then a wash of a fuller fruity sweetness. Very little after taste. Slight, fruit fragrance. Nice, medium carbonation. Like a sweet champagne. Nice!

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2014 Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a nice 1 finger white head. Smells of citrus and caramel with a bit of a fruity note. Taste has a sweet citrus front and finishes with spicy yeast with a bit of bitterness. Duchammer (186) - Eagle river, Alaska, USA - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with a white lingering head. Aroma was a nice mixture between the hops and the phenols. This beer started out sweet taste and the biterness from the hops complimented the peppery notes of the saison. Nice saison! eruizgarcia (358) - - JUN 3, 2014
Absolutely delicious. Great balance between caramel malts and flowery hops. Creamy pleasant palate.
