COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment thats just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard its fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2015 Dark gold pour, strong white 12 finger head. Nose is citrus and funky Belgian yeast. Bitter. Middle is sweet bready malt, tangerine and orange playing together, and a hint of licorice. Finish is yeasty and bittersweet. This has improved from my first try.

(bottle - corked & caged 750 ml) Slightly hazy gold pour with puffy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with some grapefruity hop notes. Flavor isnt as bitter and acidic as I thought thankfully. Light bitter hops with some mild spice and lots of farmhouse yeast. Very clean and slightly bitter finish.

Great package here. Well balanced between hay, Belgian floral yeast and a touch of hops. Pours cloudy orange with good head and lacing. Finishes lightly floral and sweet. Tap at Smoke and Barrel.

Mildly fizzy on the tongue. Pours a beautiful golden yellow, with a thick white head. Its an amazingly clean and crisp Saison. Even though its 8.5%, its not overburdened with a high alcohol flavor.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 One of my favorite saisons! The wife and I have both voted and the consensus was unanimous that this is the perfect beer with a fancy $10 burger. I get hops, citrus and funk which is my trifecta of perfection in a farmhouse style saison.

Bottle. Hazy, pale golden with a good white head. Spicy fruit nose, hints of coriander. Lemony flavours, a bit acidic, also quite bitter. Dry finish. Interesting.

Ideal Saison. Not too funky, but certainly has that farmhouse flavor and aroma to it that makes this unique yet enjoyable. Smooth, flavorful, not too sweet. Good to drink with just about anything.

Bottle: Muddled sunshine yellow body with amber tints & a huge, foamy white head that piles up nice & high. Aroma is a Belgian yeast bomb... Bubblegum, white pepper spice, wet cotton, spicy fruit esters, mushy banana, & a little bit of pear skin. Clumpy, almost bread-like yeast & malty notes in the back-end. Taste is similar, with sharp yeast esters up front, banana & pear mostly with a slight earthiness. Light peppery spice, sweet bubblegum notes, some dry straw & hay hitting with a tiny bit of cotton funk. Spicy Belgian yeast, all day. Chunky, chewy body, very nice... A pretty good farmhouse ale. Im not always a fan of the yeast bombs but this was never too spicy or too heavy.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2014 Light lemony aroma balanced with cereal maltiness. Huge white head. Faint banana flavor with lemon, pepper and breadiness up front. One of the best balanced beers Ive tasted. My current favorite for this style.
