COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickity. Here at Boulevard it’s fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were developing variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a flavorful surge of fruity aromatics and hoppy, grapefruit notes (Amarillo hops), this complex, straw-colored ale finishes long, dry and spicy.

The pour is a golden orange yellow with a little glowy haze. Titanic off-white head that lasts forever. Sharp yeast-dominated aroma of bananas along with some citrus hop. The hops come forward stronger in the flavor, bitterness balances well against the savory yeast profile of the saison. Some fun citrus hop flavors too. Perfect mouthfeel, thick yet smooth with subdued and creamy carbonation. The aftertaste is bready alcohol. Great American-style saison, especially now taht it’s in 12 oz’ers.

Rich, luxurious golden color. Pours a frothy head. Bursting with flavor of a rich fruit, nice hop punch and golden straw/wheat malt. Finish is an exquisite peppercorn that lingers for a while.

Clear light yellow to golden pour with one finger of frothy white head. Aroma is tantalizing with notes of yeast, hay, a bit spice and fruit tart. Taste is everything you could want with a balanced medium heavy sweetness and a long lasting spicy finish. Great beer!

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2017 My Bottom Line:
This wondrous Saison lays out bubblegum esters, fruity hops, bready yeast, straw-like cereals and supple honeyed residual sugars in a tightly woven, superbly drinkable and amazingly authentic example. Wow.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sturdy head of foam covers the misty straw blond.
-Subtle floral and herbal hops lace the finish.
-Mango candy is found throughout, as is pineapple juice.
-The perfect bottle conditioning job adds to the amazing flavor experience.
-There is no sign of the alcohol whatsoever. This drinks like a 6% brew...
-Balance exists throughout.
-This is one of those rare American-made Belgian-style brews which makes you travel to Belgium with every sip. A neighbor of Dupont could have brewed this.

Bottles.

Pale citrine, cloudy, tall, white, persistent head Aromatic, complex, floral and yeasty nose. Full body, highly carbonated, which gives it a creamy mouthfeel, assertive but well integrated alcohol, long palate. Intensely bitter but well balanced by abundant and sweet malt, Malty, earthy. Delicious, intense, intriguing, well rounded beer, satisfying beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2014 Freshly out of the box, thanks to Nate for this one! Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head that leaves good lacing. It is almost glowing in a way. Nose is of fruity and citrusy hops, light pepper. Peaches maybe? Anyway, nice! I could smell that all day long. Taste is not quite sweet, just a little starchy. Fruity and piney hops offer a medium level of bitterness. Some fresh cereals flavors. Body is light, carbonation medium. This is mighty drinkable! Really nice, wish I had access to this on a regular basis!

12oz bottle pours hazy pale yellow with big 3 finger head. Nose is dusty grains, orange peel, fruity yeast, spices. Taste is dry crisp yeasty grains and citrus, some funk. Finish is dry wheat and grains, citrus, orange, peppery yeast.
